Hugo (hugo_nebula) | 740 comments Hi, me again. Couple of things I'd like clarification on:

1 - The Manual asks that book reviews not be included in the Description; does that include blurbs from the back cover, and as listed in the Amazon description? If not, do we remove/edit them as we find them?

2 - I've been seeing a few Series recently consisting of only one book. If there's only one book, how is it part of a series? Surely we need at least two books to judge if it qualifies as a Series?

Thank you in advance.

Moloch | 3975 comments Response to no. 2: I have sometimes created serieses with only one book if there were sure plans to make it a series (confirmation by the author or other clear indications, like "book #1" on the cover). Of course you need to remember to update the series (and not create a duplicate) when book #2 is out.
However I have also found uncorrect series (or rather imprints) that were created by mistake because the user misunderstood the Goodreads meaning of series. I don't know if this is maybe the case for the ones you found.

No praise/review should be included in the GR description, including blurbs from back cover or Amazon. (And they are often imported from Amazon or from the publisher). These should be removed from the description.

That's as I thought, but I wanted to be sure.

The couple I've seen most recently were both - as far as could be gleaned - standalone novels, which prompted the question. I'll bear this in mind in the future.

Thank you both for your replies.
