Well done, Tiffany! I'm glad to hear you got hooked on your bird book. I got that whole series (to that point) when they were on sale a year or so ago. I've been hoping I'd love them.

And I didn’t realize that you don’t necessarily have to read them in order so I’ll probably read that one next. It’s
I just saw that one on NetGalley recently and have requested it, but I haven't heard back yet.So they each stand alone within the series? That's fantastic to know! Thank you!
Kellyn, well done on your bird book! How close are you on the fence and mountain/hill books?Megan and Kimberly: Do you know which book you'll be reading for lighthouse (1)?
Here's what we have left to this point:
(view spoiler)
Happy reading, Team! Keep up the fantastic work.
Please be ready for quick reading next week, because it's only a matter of time before the categories get called daily (which will happen as soon as a winning category has been called).
I believe Fence was my Sage of Pappy Gunn, and since it's due at the library shortly, I'd better be finishing it today or tomorrow! ;P As for mountain, it is ... long. xD I'm about 20% through.
I’ve decided to find books for some of the other bingo squares. I’m currently working on a #1, 3, and 4 in a series.
Great idea, Tiffany! That should make it easier/quicker to finish books once categories are called. That's a fabulous idea especially since we're close to getting winning cats called.

I think we have a good shot at winning!
I agree. We have a great shot at winning. :)I've also gone through and have found some titles that will work. I'll get started on them as soon as I get my lighthouse book finished and am off my editing deadline. Busy workday today, for me.
I just figured out one of the books I am currently reading
works for lighthouse because it is the first book in the Daughters of the Promised Land Series. Should have it finished soon
Sweet! I love it when that happens, Kimberly. Thanks for getting your bird book posted. That ought to give us another chip on the next update. Happy reading!
I'm going to be working on these books, saving at least one hundred pages until the appropriate categories are called.Standalone -
One -
Two -
Three -
Four -
Anyone else planning ahead? Tiffany, thank you for the idea!
Here are the ones I’m planning:Standalone:
One -
Two -
Three -
Four -
Though, plans may change, lol.
Andrea wrote: "Looks like a great bunch of books. Enjoy!"Thank you! I’ve started a couple of them and am enjoying them so much! It’s going to be difficult to save 105 pages (so I have a little more than 100 left lol) until they’re called. I will have to distract myself with other books.
Incidentally, I’ve been approved to review
. I just wonder if it’s going to be as New Agey as A Dog’s Purpose was.
I know what you mean about holding pages! That will be quite a challenge.Update: I'm halfway through my lighthouse book.
I just posted my lighthouse review. Here's what we need:
FENCE
Kellyn
MOUNTAIN/HILL
Kellyn
(This one's urgent, as it will place us within one chip of winning.)
LIGHTHOUSE
Kimberly
Kellyn
Tiffany
We're getting so close to being completely caught up. Let's do this, ladies! Y'all, we're doing so well. Let's keep it up!
I'm almost done with River Rising, which I believe is my mountain book? I'm at 96%. (It got exciting and I stayed up until two. *coughs* Yes, I'm exhausted, but ... but ...?)
Only two books until I'm caught up (until tomorrow night, that is).The Saga of Pappy Gunn (starts with T, fence)
The Penderwicks: A Summer Tale of Four Sisters, Two Rabbits, and a Very Interesting Boy (Book #1, lighthouse)
I'm almost finished with Pappy Gunn (just a couple chapters left) and I read halfway through The Penderwicks over the weekend, so I'll be done with The Penderwicks tonight (want to finish the sweetness <3) and then Pappy Gunn. Whoosh!
Wonderful job, Kell! That book had so many pages! However did you finish it so quickly?! :)Thanks for the update and happy reading!
We don't know which category will get called tonight, but we do know this:We are one away from winning. That one is dog/cat/1.
My plan for today is to get a great start on a series #1 book so that, if our category gets called, it won't take me long to finish the book on Wednesday or Thursday.
What do y'all think of this plan?

Staying up until 2 helped. xP And I basically just never put it down these last couple days. *wipes brow*
Woot woot! We're getting some chips tonight, gals. Well done! Here's the updated list of what we have left to this point:
LIGHTHOUSE
Kimberly
Kellyn
Tiffany
Can y'all believe it?! We're nearly caught up completely! So proud of us, Team!
The Tenth category is...24. Heart (Standalone)
Options for completing this category:
1: read a book with a Heart on the cover or in the title.
2: read a book that is NOT part of a series.
3: read a book that starts with the letter S (for Standalone)
Be sure to check into your team's chat thread before the next category gets called and let them know your reading plans. If it has been two weeks since you last checked into the team's thread (and it isn't a planned absence), you will be removed from the team. Have fun guys!
Next category will be called: May 17th at approximately 12:01 AM (ET)
----
With this call:
Team one is within one (needs River/Lake/Ocean)
Team two is within one two different ways (needs either flower or hat called)
Team three is within one (needs dog/cat called)
So, basically, this is not a winning category and the next one will be called next week. :)
I’m in the process of reading
and
, both of which are standalone books. So I guess it will depend on which one I finish first lol.
Andrea wrote: "Bess, it does look good, doesn't it?Tiffany, I like your thinking on that! Happy reading!"
Yes!!!
I just have a couple pages left in my Lighthouse book ... or around there, anyway. For standalone, I have several ARCs that would work splendidly, so I'll just pick one. ;)
