I’m about halfway through with my mountain book. Im not sure if I’ll be able to leave 100 pages of the book I’m reviewing so I may have to find another dog/cat book. Stolen Enchantress is just so GOOD!! I’m trying hard to pace myself!

Sounds great, Kimberly. I hope you enjoy the book!Megan, I need to join you on that post-slump run! :) It seems like the first half of this month has been such a slow reading session for me too.
I started my mountain book, Snow Angel, today. I've set aside my fence book for now, since we need mountain more.
Really struggling to fit any reading it, but I'm going to try to soon! Just haven't had a spare moment to devote to it these last couple days and I'm falling behind. :-/
Kell, that's understandable. When you're able to catch up, please focus on your books for book/letter and mountain/hill first, as those are needed for the bingo we're currently working on. The fence book can wait until after those two. You're doing great, my friend.
Y'all, I just had to change my mountain book. The one I was reading was quite trashy for a "Christian" book, and I refuse to let that type of content into my mind.So I'll be reading
for this category. There are mountains on the cover. I'm hoping to cruise through it, since it's a Love Inspired book. Those are typically fast reads for me.
Yes, please wait! Hehe. Of course, we don't know which category will be picked tomorrow night. I'm hoping it'll be the one we need, but we'll see.
Hey, team! Are y'all ready to get our next category in a few hours? If a winning category is called, the categories will then be called daily. Be sure to come back and check in often, if that's the case.I'm working hard on my mountain/hill book tonight, trying to finish it up so I'll be ready to move on to the next one. How are y'all coming along on your books?
The Eighth category is...Bird (3)
Options for completing this category:
1: read a book with a Bird (3) on the cover or in the title.
2: read a book that is the third book in its series
3: read a book that starts with the letter T (for Three/3)
Be sure to check into your team's chat thread before the next category gets called and let them know your reading plans. If it has been two weeks since you last checked into the team's thread (and it isn't a planned absence), you will be removed from the team. Have fun guys!
Next category will be called: May 3rd at approximately 12:01 AM (ET)
----
With this call:
Team one is at least two away
Team two is within one two different ways (needs either flower or hat called)
Team three is within one (needs dog/cat called)
So, basically, this is not a winning category and the next one will be called next week. :)
So we can't yet win (and neither can the other two teams), but let's try hard to catch up on our categories this week, shall we?Update on what we need:
(view spoiler)
Happy reading, gals! We're doing great. Let's keep up the great teamwork!
I'll be reading
for bird, as it starts with T. I'm only a few chapters in right now, so I definitely have over 100 pages left to go.What will you be reading?
It does! Earlier today, I was thinking tomorrow was Friday for some reason. I'm glad I realized it wasn't, because I'm not quite ready for the weekend yet, with this editing job I'm on. I need the extra day I thought I'd lost! :)
The book I was reading last night worked for Bird - yay! I had over 100 pages left before the category was called, finished it a little while ago, so I posted my review now.
Megan and Kimberly: Fabulous job, ladies! Thanks for getting those reviews posted so fast. Y'all are amazing.Tiffany: That cover is gorgeous. I hope the story is enjoyable for you.
Kellyn: Looks like you and I could use a few reading days to catch up. ;) Keep plugging away as you can, my friend. We're doing great and will one day be caught up.
I'm having such fun being on this team with you gals. Wonderful job, everyone!
Thank you! I’ve really enjoyed the rest of the series and I’m finding it interesting that they’re not all written by the same author. So, I’m getting to experience multiple writing styles. I’m thinking about reading
for my dog/cat book.
Tiffany, is that a new trend for authors to join forces to write a series? I've noticed a couple of groups doing that lately, but haven't tried any of the series yet. Too many books, so little time!
I'm thinking I might read The Penderwicks at Point Mouette for bird (series book #3). The next book in the series in releasing pretty soon, so I'm getting reacquainted in the characters. ;) It'll be a fairly fast read, I think, so that's nice.
I just posted my mountain book. I'll be working on both my fence and bird books now, as one is a hardback and the other in my Kindle.
Andrea wrote: "Tiffany, is that a new trend for authors to join forces to write a series? I've noticed a couple of groups doing that lately, but haven't tried any of the series yet. So you can read any one without having read previous books. All have been very well written so far.
Nice! I might have to check that out. I'm way behind on my NG books, so I'm not sure I'll get approved, but it might be worth the attempt. Thank you!
Wonderful job on getting your book/letter review in, Kellyn.Team, we are down to just these to be caught up:
FENCE
Andrea
Kellyn
MOUNTAIN/HILL
Kellyn
BIRD

We can do this! We're doing fabulous, team. Let's keep it up!
I got my bird book finished last night, posted just a few moments ago. How's the reading coming along, my friends? I hope you all have a great start to the week.
Starting my bird book today - probably will be finished in a couple days. River Rising (mountain book) I started but haven't gotten far into. I could finish my fence book in a couple days, but are we not focusing on those?
I'm getting caught up on everything, actually. I was thinking we could get mountain/hill and book/letter done first, since getting those would leave us with only one needed for a postage stamp bingo. However, it is a great idea to also get completely caught up, in case we end up being able to eventually get a bingo in another fashion. You're doing great, Kell. Keep it up! :)
Whew! I just got caught up. I posted my review for my fence book. I can't believe I now have a couple of days of reprieve. :)
The Ninth category is...13. Lighthouse (1)
Options for completing this category:
1: read a book with a Lighthouse (1) on the cover or in the title.
2: read a book that is the first book in its series
3: read a book that starts with the letter O (for One/1)
Be sure to check into your team's chat thread before the next category gets called and let them know your reading plans. If it has been two weeks since you last checked into the team's thread (and it isn't a planned absence), you will be removed from the team. Have fun guys!
Next category will be called: May 10th at approximately 12:01 AM (ET)
----
With this call:
Team one is within one (needs River/Lake/Ocean)
Team two is within one two different ways (needs either flower or hat called)
Team three is within one (needs dog/cat called)
So, basically, this is not a winning category and the next one will be called next week. :)
Might read the first book in the Penderwicks series. I want to read them all at some point, haha, before the next one comes out.
I'll be reading an early copy of
, which is the first book in the Blackbird Mountain series. So glad I just got this one approved by NetGalley. The timing is perfect!
