I should finish my eyeglasses book tomorrow. I’m really enjoying Charlie Daniels’ memoir. He’s very inspirational and insightful.
Andrea wrote: "I'm glad to hear it's such an inspirational book, Tiffany. That's wonderful!"Thank you! I’ve always been a huge Charlie Daniels fan so reading his stories is so much fun for me!
I love Terry Pratchett books. I have just finished the Color of Magic and will post it next.
- first in such a wonderful series
Well done, Kimberly!I finished my tree book late last night and am about to type up my review and get that posted.
I've got my Key book posted! For eyeglasses, I'm going to read book 1 in a series: Somewhere Still by Denitta Ward.
Well done, Kell!Ladies, this means we have now finished HORSE, TREE, and KEY. Well done!
Update on what we still need:
FREE SPACE
Tiffany
BOOK/LETTER
Megan
Andrea
Kellyn
EYEGLASSES
Megan
Andrea
Kellyn
Tiffany
We're doing a wonderful job. I'm so proud of our team!
I'm thinking I'm going to finish Eyeglasses first and then work back to Book/Letter. I need to redownload my book for Letter, and I want to get the book for Eyeglasses read quickly.
Next category is...Fence (3)
1: read a book that fits the category (Fence) ex.
2: the third book in a series
3: this last option is to read a book whose title begins with the first letter of the number. The letter "T" (for three/3)
Who's reading what?
Finished my book for eyeglasses yesterday and just posted the review.
I decided to change my book for book/letter to
(has letters in the mailbox).
For the new category I'm not sure what I'll read yet, but I'll let you know as soon as I decide. :)

Well done, Megan! Great find on the letters in that mailbox! I'm not sure I would have noticed that.
I'm not sure yet what I'm going to read. I still have two others to work on, so I'll think about the fence book and report back once I've decided.
Found my book for fence/3:
Begins with T.
This book was one of my favorites when I was a teen. I think I read it four times back then. I'm hoping I'll still love it now.
O.K. Going with the whole Harry Potter theme I seemed to have started I will read
Third book in the series.
Not sure what I'll do for fence yet ... working on it. :)Looks like I'll finish my eyeglass book in the next couple days! Already at about 50%. Not sure what I think of it, but at least it's an easy read! (I noticed I didn't say earlier ... it's called Somewhere Still.)
Nice job, Kell! Easy reads are so nice, even when you don't exactly love the story. It's refreshing to have a breezy sort of book.
Fantastic job, Tiffany! I love that we're working together to get all of our books in. We're doing great, gals!
Andrea wrote: "Fantastic job, Tiffany! I love that we're working together to get all of our books in. We're doing great, gals!"I agree, we’re working well as a team. I’ve started my free space book and am hope to finish it in the next couple of days. I hope everyone is doing well.?💕💕💕💕
Fabulous work, Tiffany!I just finished my book/letter/2 book and am making notes for my review, which I'll write up sometime tomorrow. It's one of those stories that I want to contemplate a bit before I do up my review.
I'll be beginning my fence/3 book tomorrow, and I'm making good progress on my eyeglasses/1 book as well. I anticipate being caught up by the time we get our next category.
Okay, I've got my eyeglass book finished! The Letter (book/letter)
The Saga of Pappy Gunn (starts with T, fence)
Well done, Kellyn!I just posted my book/letter review.
Working on:
The Journey West (fence)
Pulse (eyeglasses)
I finished my free space book last night and just need to review it. I’m almost halfway through with my fence book, too.
I just posted my eyeglasses book, which should give us a chip for that category. As for my fence book, I am already on chapter six out of nineteen. Hopefully I can get on a great reading roll tomorrow. :)How are y'all doing? Getting ready for our next category to be revealed tomorrow night?
Latest update of what we need:
(view spoiler)
The Seventh category is...Mountain/Hill (1)
Options for completing this category:
1: read a book with a Mountain/Hill on the cover or in the title.
2: read a book that is the 1st book in its series
3: read a book that starts with the letter O (for One/1)
Be sure to check into your team's chat thread before the next category gets called and let them know your reading plans. If it has been two weeks since you last checked into the team's thread (and it isn't a planned absence), you will be removed from the team. Have fun guys!
Next category will be called: April 26th at approximately 12:01 AM (ET)
Y'all, it's getting real now. Here's what Melanie said:"This category makes Team Two ONE away from being able to call bingo (needs Hat called and then could get a four corners bingo).
It also makes Team Three ONE away. They just need Dog/Cat and then they could have a stamp bingo.
When a team gets to where it is possible to have a bingo, then categories will get called DAILY just so others have a chance. You won't need to finish all of those categories, just the ones that help your team out. Hope that makes sense, if not I'll explain more. :) "
So, here's what I'm thinking:
Let's focus on getting our book/letter and mountain/hill books done this week for sure. If we can also get our fence and free space books finished, that would be awesome, but we want to make sure we get those other two done, because if that one more category is called that will give us a bingo, the cats will be called daily until someone wins.
It might be a great idea to go ahead and choose our books for dog/cat(1), though we have to leave at least 100 pages to read once the category is called.
What do y'all think about all that???
We're sooooo close! We can do this!
For mountain/hill, I will be reading
, because there's a mountain on the cover.I'm still looking for a dog/cat book to be prepared with.
I’m going to post my free space book and my fence book today. I’m going to look for my mountain and dog/cat books
Awesome, Tiffany, thanks! Remember not to finish the last 100 pages of the dog/cat book until it gets called, but I LOVE that you're getting prepared. Well done!
I’ll make sure to just get it started. I may use the book I’m reviewing for one of them as it’s first in a see and it’s oh so good(!!!) so far, lol.
My mountain book will be
and I’m unsure about my dog/cat book as of yet. I’m currently reviewing
, which is loosely fairytale based.
Found my dog book:
. I can read it in a day, so I'll be waiting till that category is called to even begin it, as I won't want to put it down at all once I start.
Sounds good! I'll be on the lookout for mountain and dog.So sorry about getting behind on reading ... I didn't do much over the weekend due to being sick, and since them I've been scrambling for a blog tour.
Kell, I hope you're feeling better this week! I completely understand how life and work and illness jump in the way of reading sometimes. We know you'll get caught up when you can.
Tiffany, thanks for getting your free space review posted. We've now earned our chip for that spot. Well done, team!Megan and Kimberly, do y'all know which book you'll be reading for mountain/hill/1?
I started
today, and am almost finishes with it, so that's what I'll read for mountain. :)
I finished
, which works for Fence and I'll post my review soon.
I have a lot of options for dog/cat, so if/when it gets called I'm ready. I be might starting
next week, so if it gets called I'll be ahead of the game. :)

Just realized the other book I finished today worked for book/letter, so I posted that one instead...though I still plan on reading Say You Love Me this weekend. :)
Andrea wrote: "Sounds great, Megan! Looks like you're really flying through the books right now."
Yes, I am. I had a slight reading slump earlier this month, was reading though not too quickly, but thankfully that seems to be over. :)
