Tiffany Murphy (tiffers919) | 989 comments Thank you. ☺️It’s pretty good, so far.

message 102: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Glad to hear it. :)

message 103: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Finished and posted my key (2) book. Will be backtracking to read my tree (4) book soon.

Keep up the great work, team! Let's also see if we can make more progress on our free space books this coming week, as time allows. We're doing great!

I finished my original book for TREE, but then got on a reading roll before I wrote my review and happened to finish another book with a tree on it - one I enjoyed more, plus the cover was prettier, so I used that one. :)

I think for KEY I'll read The Black Key (The Lone City, #3) by Amy Ewing , since I just read the 1st book this month and enjoyed it a lot. But I'll have to read the 2nd book first, hopefully it won't take too long. :)

Otherwise, I'll read The Dream Keeper (Dream Keeper Chronicles, #1) by Mikey Brooks (has a key on the cover).

message 106: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly (ksnapier) | 705 comments I will be uploading my book reviews for The Cat Who Moved a Mountain (Cat Who... #13) by Lilian Jackson Braun (for key) and Winter of the World (The Century Trilogy #2) by Ken Follett tomorrow. Today I have to record and upload my podcast.
HUGS

message 107: by Kellyn (new)

Kellyn Roth (kellynrothauthor) | 195 comments I'm about halfway through with my Tree book. I think that leaves a key book yet to be accounted for, right?

message 108: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Wonderful work, gals! I'll be beginning my tree book the first of April. I have to finish up a few books for March challenges this week. We'll be getting our next category tomorrow night. Who's ready?

Kellyn, I think you're right about your count. :)

message 109: by Kellyn (new)

Kellyn Roth (kellynrothauthor) | 195 comments I'm thinking perhaps The Journey for key? It's book two.

message 110: by Megan, ☘I Lost My Shoe ☘ (new)

Megan (celtic_girl) | 6323 comments Mod
Just remembered that I could use series, duh, and a book I finished yesterday worked for key! So I posted it. :)

message 111: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments And... I was completely wrong. The new cat gets revealed tonight rather than tomorrow night. *facepalm* It's been one of those I'm-so-tired-I-can-barely-keep-my-eyes-open days. Apparently those aren't conducive to lucid thought.

message 112: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Well done, Megan!

I think that should work, Kell, but you might not want to rely on my opinion today. ;)

message 113: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Our new category is here!

Book or letter (2)
Options for completing this category:
1: read a book with a Book or letter on the cover or in the title.
2: read a book that is the 2nd book in its series
3: read a book that starts with the letter T (for Two/2)

Next category will be called: April 5th at approximately 12:01 AM (ET)

What will everyone be reading for this category?
(I'm checking my books now.)

message 114: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments I have several options, but I am leaning toward this one for Book/Letter/Two:
Things I Never Told You by Beth K. Vogt
(Begins with T.)

message 115: by Megan, ☘I Lost My Shoe ☘ (new)

Megan (celtic_girl) | 6323 comments Mod
I think I might read The White Rose (The Lone City, #2) by Amy Ewing , second book in the Lone City series, but it's not definite.

message 116: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly (ksnapier) | 705 comments I have posted my Key and my free space books.
HUGS,
Kim

message 117: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Great job, Kimberly! I like that you were able to double up on books this week. I need to do that soon, as I'm still needing to squeeze in my tree book.

Megan, I like the name of that series - Lone City. That's so unique!

Kellyn and Tiffany, I am eager to see what you'll be reading for book/letter/2, when you decide.

message 118: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly (ksnapier) | 705 comments Thank you. Easy to do when you love the books

message 119: by Tiffany (new)

Tiffany Murphy (tiffers919) | 989 comments I should finish my key book tonight. I’m about to choose my book/letter book. Sorry for going mia for a few days. I’ve been working a lot, trying to prove myself at my new job. I haven’t had a day off since last Friday and it’s possible that I won’t have one until next weekend or longer. I’m loving this job but exhausted.

message 120: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Aw, so sorry about your being overworked right now. Hang in there!

Great job on your book in the midst of all that crazy!

message 121: by Tiffany (new)

Tiffany Murphy (tiffers919) | 989 comments Thank you! There’s just so much to learn! I’m in my first week after my training trip and I not only met the sales goal the company sets for everyone, but I exceeded it. I’m hoping to get another sale or two tomorrow. My book for book/two/t will be Beneath the Summer Sun (Every Amish Season, #2) by Kelly Irvin . It’s the second in the series. How is everyone doing?

message 122: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Well done! Sounds like you're really shining at your new job. Good for you, Tiffany!

My knee is finally nearing normal after hyper-extending it about two months ago. I'm beginning to do some light exercises to strengthen it back up and reacquire my full range of motion. Taking things slow.

As for reading, I'll be starting my tree book soon, which might end up being The Lost Castle by Kristy Cambron, and will get to my book/letter/two book after that.
The Lost Castle (The Lost Castle #1) by Kristy Cambron Things I Never Told You by Beth K. Vogt

message 123: by Tiffany (new)

Tiffany Murphy (tiffers919) | 989 comments I’m glad you’re starting to feel better. Definitely take it slow so you don’t overdo. I know it’s not easy, though. I’ll keep praying for you. The Lost Castle looks really good.

message 124: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Thank you for the prayers and encouragement, Tiffany! Yeah, I'm definitely taking it slow. Starting with some light stretching and five minutes a couple of times a week on the stepper. And still using some ice as needed.

I think the cover for The Lost Castle is so dreamy! I hope the story inside stands up well to it.

Anything particular you'd like me to pray for you about the job or anything else?

message 125: by Tiffany (new)

Tiffany Murphy (tiffers919) | 989 comments I agree about the cover. It’s just so pretty, almost like apainting.

message 126: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments It's the first one in a while that's made me wish I could somehow step right into it and wander around there for a few hours.

message 127: by Kellyn (new)

Kellyn Roth (kellynrothauthor) | 195 comments Okay, just submitted my Tree book!

Here's my plans for the next two categories:

Book or Letter: The Letter (because it starts with a T, lol!)
Key: The Journey (because it's the second book in a series)

message 128: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Well done, Kell! And happy reading!

message 129: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly (ksnapier) | 705 comments Sorry, I missed the calling of the category for book I have The Cat Who Knew Shakespeare (Cat Who... #7) by Lilian Jackson Braun . I should be able to read it in a couple of days. Just in time for the next category. :)
HUGS
Kim

message 130: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments No worries, Kim. You're doing great!

I started my tree book yesterday. I decided on The Lost Castle by Kristy Cambron.
The Lost Castle (The Lost Castle #1) by Kristy Cambron

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments We get a new category tonight. Remember to check in sometime after it's been called. Who's ready?

I'm nearly 100 pages into my tree book and still need to start my book/letter one. I'm hoping to catch up over this next week.

You got this Andrea!!!

message 133: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Thanks, Bess!

message 134: by Kellyn (new)

Kellyn Roth (kellynrothauthor) | 195 comments I'm about 15% into my key book - not really getting into it. But I'll push through! :)

message 135: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments I love that attitude, Kell. You can do it!

message 136: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments The Fifth category is...

Eyeglasses (1)

Options for completing this category:
1: read a book with eyeglasses on the cover or in the title (e.g. Strand of Deception (Justice Seekers, #3) by Robin Caroll ). I will accept sunglasses as well.
2: read a book that is the 1st book in its series
3: read a book that starts with the letter O (for One/1)

Be sure to check into your team's chat thread before the next category gets called and let them know your reading plans. If it has been two weeks since you last checked into the team's thread (and it isn't a planned absence), you will be removed from the team. Have fun guys!

Next category will be called: April 12th at approximately 12:01 AM (ET)

***

I'm going to have to dig to find one, I think. Will report back soon.

message 137: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments That search didn't take long. The book I recently started on my Kindle will work, because it's the first book in the Front Porch Promises series and I still have over 170 pages left to go in it.
A Place to Call Home (Front Porch Promises #1) by Merrillee Whren

message 138: by Andrea (new)

Do y'all have a plan for filling in the blanks for our available stamps?

message 140: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly (ksnapier) | 705 comments for letter, sorry, I am doing Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (Harry Potter, #2) by J.K. Rowling (second in series)
and for Eyeglasses I will read The Colour of Magic (Discworld, #1) by Terry Pratchett (first in series)

message 141: by Kellyn (new)

Kellyn Roth (kellynrothauthor) | 195 comments I have no idea what I'll do for eyeglasses ... gonna have to go through my books.

message 142: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments No need to apologize, Kimberly. You're doing great!

Tiffany, that sounds wonderful.

Kellyn, I hope you find a fun book for eyeglasses.

Megan, I'm looking forward to seeing which book you decide on.

Thanks for checking in, ladies. I'm having such fun with you gals! We have a fantastic team!

message 143: by Tiffany (last edited Apr 05, 2018 06:17PM) (new)

Tiffany Murphy (tiffers919) | 989 comments I searched all of my review books and the only eyeglasses I saw was on the cover of Never Look at the Empty Seats A Memoir by Charlie Daniels . I’ve started reading it and am enjoying it immensely but I definitely have more than 100 pages left.

message 144: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Y'all, I had to DNF my eyeglasses book, so I'm starting this one to cover that category:
Pulse (Pulse Effex #1) by L.R. Burkard
Pulse Effex #1

message 145: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly (ksnapier) | 705 comments I posted Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (Harry Potter, #2) by J.K. Rowling for letter (2nd in series) now on do The Colour of Magic (Discworld, #1) by Terry Pratchett - first in a series for eyeglasses

message 146: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Wonderful job, Kimberly!

Y'all, my weekend was super busy. Apologies for not getting at least one of my books finished over the weekend. I have discovered, though, that Pulse is going to be a super fast read for me. That thing is so amazing so far. Not something I'd normally pick up, but a friend gave me a copy so I wanted to get to it quickly. I am so glad I am! If it stays really good, I might have to look into getting the sequel.

Are y'all enjoying the books you're reading for our game?

message 147: by Bess (new)

Bess | 2584 comments Andrea wrote: "Y'all, my weekend was super busy...Are y'all enjoying the books you're reading for our game?"

Mostly...there were a couple of books I was not happy with after completing them...on the bright side...they are off my TBR list!! YAY!

message 148: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 4741 comments Bess, I love it when those types of books get CHECKED OFF the list. I had to recently DNF a book, because I gave it a week and only made it to chapter four. That's super rough for me, so I dropped it. It felt so great to get it off my Kindle list.

Hopefully you'll find some real gems soon!
