Oh no, Bess! I hate to hear that. How far are you through the book?

About 1/2 way through. It is not my cup 'o tea!

message 55: by Sarah Grace (new)

Sarah Grace Grzy (sarahgraceg) I actually decided to change my book for category 3. The one I chose really wasn't interesting me right now . . . Instead I'll be reading An Uncommon Protector, and for category 4, I'll be reading The Restorer's Son. (Both of them are book two in their respective series.)

Karis, how are you doing? You haven't checked in since the newest category was called...if you don't check in by Wednesday I will have to replace the spot on the team. Hope you are doing okay. :)

message 57: by Bess (new)

Bess | 2584 comments I'm almost finished with book 4.
The Masquerade (Legacy of Love #1) by Melanie Dobson
Begins with "T".

message 58: by Sarah Grace (last edited Apr 03, 2018 12:50PM) (new)

Sarah Grace Grzy (sarahgraceg) @Melanie, what are the official rules on changing books . . . ? I'd hate to change *again* which book I chose for a category, but I really don't like the book. :(

message 59: by Bess (new)

Bess | 2584 comments I completely understand! In previous Bingo's, you could change the book. But I'm not sure if Mel is allowing this. I just finished a book that I didn't like...
I think you should go ahead and pick a new book!! :D

You can change the book whenever you like. It's not required to stick with reading the book you originally picked for the category. :))

I've been in a reading slump the past couple of weeks and have been having a hard time getting through my books. The books I have been reading are still in the critiquing process...

I need to finish my book for the 1st called. Today I read my book The Secrets of the Wild Wood, (or almost read, I have a dozen pages left), for category 3. And I just need to finish typing out my review for Finding Hope, my book for the second category

message 64: by Dawn (new)

Dawn (baseballblondie) | 1166 comments Karis we all understand about reading slumps!

Bess | 2584 comments The Fifth category is...

Eyeglasses (1)

Options for completing this category:
1: read a book with eyeglasses on the cover or in the title (e.g. Strand of Deception (Justice Seekers, #3) by Robin Caroll .
I will accept sunglasses as well.
2: read a book that is the 1st book in its series
3: read a book that starts with the letter O (for One/1)

Be sure to check your team's chat thread before the next category gets called and let them know your reading plans. If it has been two weeks since you last checked the team's thread (and it isn't a planned absence), you will be removed from the team. Have fun guys!

Next category will be called: April 12th at approximately 12:01 AM (ET)

message 67: by Medomfo (new)

Medomfo | 43 comments Melanie, I started reading a book earlier this week that fits into the category, and I'm only 10% in. Can I use it for this challenge?

message 68: by Melanie, ✞Moderator, Avid Reader, & Blogger ✞ (new)

Melanie (lovebeingvegan) | 9915 comments Mod
As long as you have at least 100 pages left to read, you can count it. :)

message 69: by Medomfo (new)

Medomfo | 43 comments Thanks. I'll be reading Porch Swing Girl by Taylor Bennett.

message 70: by Dawn (new)

Dawn (baseballblondie) | 1166 comments I'm hoping to read Mary Conealy's new one, Accidental Guardian, for this round. It's book one in a new series. That's providing my review copy gets here soon.

Ooh, I want to read that one so badly!

message 72: by Karis (new)

Karis | 220 comments I just posted my reviews for Horse, Key, and Tree. ;) I'm still choosing my books for the others.

message 73: by Bess (new)

Bess | 2584 comments Yay!! Way to go Karis!!!

message 74: by Sarah Grace (new)

Sarah Grace Grzy (sarahgraceg) I'm reading By Your Side for this next category. I finished category 3, just have to post my review, and I'll be starting my one for category 4 soon. :)

message 75: by Karis (new)

Karis | 220 comments Bess wrote: "Yay!! Way to go Karis!!!"

Thanks, I was glad to get those up. We have our first two categories completed, and the third is just waiting on SG's review. Great job, team!

I've been looking around, trying to find a book for the 4th and 5th categories. I might read A Song Unheard (Shadows Over England, #2) by Roseanna M. White for the 4th category; it's the second book of the series, and I've been wanting to read it for a bit, just haven't been in the mode for historical fic.

I've a little stumped on the newest category. I'll probably end up picking up the first book in some series I've been meaning to try. ;)

Karis | 220 comments *bows* Already done, Sarah Grace. Now for the hard part...reviewing the book.

But I'm definitely planning on counting it for category #4 (Book/letter).

*grins* Thanks, Bess. I'm still working on my review. But I did read it rather quickly. ;) It was a great read!

message 81: by Sarah Grace (new)

Sarah Grace Grzy (sarahgraceg) Posted my reviews for the last two categories, so I'm all caught up! :D (finally, haha!)

message 82: by Bess (new)

Bess | 2584 comments And tonight/tomorrow is a new category! Great job Sarah!

message 83: by Bess (new)

Bess | 2584 comments Next category!

Sixth Category: Fence (3)

1: read a book that fits the category (Fence) ex. In Broken Places by Michèle Phoenix In Broken Places by Michèle Phoenix
2: the third book in a series
3: this last option is to read a book whose title begins with the first letter of the number. The letter "T" (for "three/2)

message 84: by Karis (new)

Karis | 220 comments For the 5th category, I'm thinking about reading Once On This Island. I'll have to find one for the 6th.

I still need to post my review for my 4th category. I sat down to try to write it and after the beginning paragraph went blank. :P

message 85: by Bess (new)

Bess | 2584 comments I'm still trying to figure out what to read. The book I just finished was so edge-of-your-seat-exciting, I'm worried I'll be bored with any other read...lol!

message 86: by Karis (last edited Apr 12, 2018 06:28AM) (new)

Karis | 220 comments I know that feeling, Bess. :P I'm just fully engaged in school mode right trying to make sure I'll finish before summer as I've been a little lax on that area lately, and book have rather fled my mind.

I've never had to coax myself into read as much as I've had to the last couple of weeks! So abnormal for me.

message 87: by Bess (new)

Bess | 2584 comments Okay, so I've narrowed my search!

Either:
The Noble Servant (A Medieval Fairy Tale, #3) by Melanie Dickerson OR A Dangerous Engagement (The Regency Spies of London, #3) by Melanie Dickerson
Both are the 3rd book in the series....decisions, decisions...suggestions?

message 88: by Dawn (new)

Dawn (baseballblondie) | 1166 comments Hi guys. I'm back in the country. I finished my book for letter, about halfway through my one for eyeglasses, and will read The Golden Vial for the new category.

message 95: by Sarah Grace (new)

Sarah Grace Grzy (sarahgraceg) I'll be reading Not by Sight by Kate Breslin for cat. 6. :)

Also, I didn't know how the free space worked previously, but now that I do, I'll post a review for it. :)

message 96: by Karis (new)

Karis | 220 comments I ended up change my choice for category five. I'll be counting My Father's World for it instead. I have it read and just need to get a review written up. ;)

I'm not positive on my read for category six, but I believe I'm going to go with The Seventh Wish, which fits for its title beginning with a "t."

message 97: by Bess (new)

Bess | 2584 comments Great job everyone!!!!
