This is difficult for me to answer because I'm reading several different books at the same time: Make Room! Make Room!, Outside In (the sequel to Inside Out), The 13th Continuum, Swan Song, and The Ultimate Solution. And I'm about to add Christian Nation. The Ultimate Solution is the hardest to read. It is a "what if" scenario as to what would life in America been like if the Axis powers had won WWII. It is a total nightmare; it's a compelling read and well written, and the author, Eric Norden, meant it to be horrible because he wanted to underscore Nazi barbarism. But sometimes it gets to be too much and I have to put it away. (My mother thinks I'm crazy for reading this book, she said that she couldn't do it, but my one consolation is that I got this for free.)
Generally, I do like challenging reads. But this is really pushing it, even for me.
Just finished A Canopy of Stars and An Open Heart... Georgian era and a regency romance, with Jewish protagonists.
Is this an active group? I'm re-reading Destiny by Design- Leah's Journey. Russian Jewish pioneers in Argentina? Who knew? Love this story. Nod to Jane Austen too.
