This is not the book to demonstrate story structure or character development. This is the book to get kids interested in reading a book. Dwight, the oddball of the school, has created an Origami Yoda finger puppet that spews Yoda-style wisdom for an array of sixth-grade challenges. Tommy, who must decide if Origami Yoda is for real, puts together a case file for the most important decision of his life.

This book is so charming and quite hilarious. The sarcastic comments from best friend Harvey had me cracking up. It's also an easy read. This is a good selection for struggling older readers as well as a good book to get boys excited about reading. Kids need to be of an age where boy-girl relationships matter, so I wouldn't go lower than 4th; ideal for 5th and 6th.
