Chapters 1-3

We've officially met all the characters I believe. I'm excited to start the adventure they're setting up.

One thing to note I find a little odd is all the age gaps. Charles Wallace is supposed to be 4 or 5, starting school next year. Meg is 12. And Calvin is a junior in high school, so about 16 or 17. At 17 I'm not sure most would find a 12 year old attractive. That's a big age difference at the time. Hopefully that interest isn't too prominent in the rest of the story.

I freaking LOVE that both Meg's parents are scientists, not just her father. Written in 1962, that's a big deal! So happy to see it.

I honestly didn't think to much on the the fact that Calvin thought she was attractive and the age difference. That's pretty normal where I come from and I even married my Calvin when I really think about it. Lol! The only thing with it is that I did find I had to constantly remind myself of their ages. I guess because they are smart since they do have scientists for parents, which is awesome!

I think Calvin is 14 but is ahead in school. At least that is what I remember from the first couple chapters. I'm really liking the characters so far! I can't wait to see where the story goes. 😊
