I think this may have been part of a big collection of choose your path books in the 70s or 80s. I read it second hand in the late 90s. Unfortunately I don't remember two of the three other than they were sci-fi and the third was fantasy but I do remember something about the fantasy... I remember getting into a boat in cave. And something about gems maybe? If someone can direct me to a series of Choose Your Path books I'll start digging!

I should clarify, as it's under the One Specific Book thread that I'm just after that fantasy book that I read, out of the three.

Try a search function: either google with site:gamebooks.org, or on the site itself. Maybe a reviewer has mentioned boats?
The Endless Quest: The Collector's Set, #2The Endless Quest Collectors Set #3
Both of these have two sf and two fantasy books. Do any of these sound familiar?
Revolt Of The Dwarves
Revenge of the Rainbow Dragons (I think there was a special gem in this one)
Circus Of Fear
Spell Of The Winter Wizard

I had a look through those when I went through the list Justanotherbibliophile suggested but nothing ran a bell.

Definitely not DnD but thank you :D
This list seems really promising: https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/1...Maybe one of the Fighting Fantasy books? They included SF as well as Fantasy. But these involved rolling dice as well as making choices. Do you recall anything like that?
