Honestly, the #1 appeal to me is it starts with a J, and once I'm done with it I'm done with my ABC challenge haha. So even if it's not too great, it will serve a purpose. And if it is good enough to continue, the sequel starts with a J for next year :) haha

What do you think of Falling Kingdoms (Falling Kingdoms, #1) by Morgan Rhodes stacked up against Throne of Glass (Throne of Glass, #1) by Sarah J. Maas ? I've been hesitant to start Falling Kingdoms even though I own every book in that series so far. I know I adored Throne of Glass, so maybe I'll like Falling Kingdoms.

These Violent Delights (Robin) | 1236 comments Mod
All right, that makes sense. I'll definitely put it on my TBR list after I finish The Lunar Chronicles and The Selection series. You've certainly made me interested to start that series now. Thanks!

Finished Blue is for Nightmares (Blue is for Nightmares, #1) by Laurie Faria Stolarz , which I wanted to love but ended up feeling very meh about.

Also finished Alive by Scott Sigler , which I wanted to love and really did end up loving. Great stuff. Familiar enough to recommend to certain readers, but new enough to feel fresh.

Up next, I'll probably end up reading Artemis Fowl (Artemis Fowl, #1) by Eoin Colfer

Have you seen the first episode of ShadowHunters (I believe it came out Tuesday)?
I was really disappointed: I had really high hopes for the show, and had watched an interview with the director who said he was going to be sticking completely to the book, which definitely did not happen.

I enjoyed the first episode, but I didn't read the books so I can't compare them to each other. Just as a show, though, I thought it was okay.
