Tika (fangirlconfessions) | 70 comments HOW IN THE WORLD DOES EVERYONE READ MORE THAN ONE BOOK AT A TIME ?!!! lol

message 552: by Tika (new)

Tika (fangirlconfessions) | 70 comments @Erin, I was supposed to read Fairest this month but I don't think that's happening lol.

@Karleigh yo, you're ability to read all those books at once is mind-boggling. I just could never read more than one book at a time!

OH MY GOSH I HAVE TO WAIT FOR WINTER? THE WORD "PATIENCE" IS NOT IN MY VOCABULARY.

It's actually really good! Have you heard of Books A Million? They are a great bookstore you can either go inside or shop online but online is way cheaper. Here is a link to their site (I specifically looked up Hush,Hush for you so it'd take you right to it.)
http://www.booksamillion.com/search?i...

The other two books are on bargain I believe.

I've heard of Books A Million, but I have no clue where it is. lol

Thanks so much! I'll definitely order it so I can get started on the series.

I just looked up the stores, and apparently there are some nearby. And there's one where I vacation. This is like discovering a new world.

message 561: by [deleted user] (new)

@Erin lol yeah books a million is the best! you should go

message 562: by [deleted user] (new)

@Angie same here the only problem I have is when I order more than three books at least Indic them will either not ship or it will ship lager however the store is really good about getting the book that didn't ship delivered to the store for me.

message 563: by Megan (new)

Megan (megantron119) | 486 comments I am currently reading Gone with the Wind by Margaret Mitchell and Snap by Carol Snow . I don't usually read two books at the same time because I can't keep up with them. I figured that Gone with the Wind is different than any other books that I read that there shouldn't be any trouble keeping up with them. I have done pretty good so far, I was proud! lol.

message 564: by Tika (new)

Tika (fangirlconfessions) | 70 comments @Angie I don't care to much for Books A Million, well the one in my area.

message 565: by Eve (new)

Eve (arweneve) Yes! I finally found Clockwork Angel in the back hole that some refer to as "under the bed". Huh. Wonder how it got there.

Brianna Andreda | 27 comments Tikaa wrote: "HOW IN THE WORLD DOES EVERYONE READ MORE THAN ONE BOOK AT A TIME ?!!! lol"

Usually for me, it's only because I have more than one buddy read going on or trying to finish a book for a challenge. Other than that I'm usually reading a book, but listening to an audiobook when I'm too busy to actually sit down and read.

message 567: by Danique (new)

Oh no!

message 574: by Karleigh (new)

Karleigh (karleighreads) I'll probably end up finishing it. I'm 60% through. It's just reminds me on red rising with a female main character.

message 575: by [deleted user] (new)

I couldn't finish Hexed due to the fact that it is centered around wicca and I'm a Christian so I just can't.. (no offense to wicca or anything, it's just not me) so I am now reading Loki's Wolves (The Blackwell Pages, #1) by K.L. Armstrong and it's surprisingly pretty entertaining so far. I LOVE the t.v show Vikings on the History channel and seeing a book that is based off modern day descendants of the norse gods, well I thought that was pretty cool and I was right! The funny thing is, I stumbled on this book by accident. I was browsing the bargain section on Books A Million website and thought the cover looked interesting so I read the synopsis and was like holly shit cake that sounds good!

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 318 comments I finished Saga, Volume 1 (Saga #1-6) by Brian K. Vaughan Saga, Volume 2 (Saga #7-12) by Brian K. Vaughan Saga, Volume 3 (Saga #13-18) by Brian K. Vaughan and absolutely loved them. They're for "mature readers", so I can't recommend them to everyone, but if you're of an age/maturity level that you can read them, I recommend them highly.

Up next I'll really get started on The Necromancer (The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel, #4) by Michael Scott and I'll try to have that and Amulet, Vol. 4 The Last Council (Amulet, #4) by Kazu Kibuishi Amulet, Vol. 5 Prince of the Elves (Amulet, #5) by Kazu Kibuishi and Amulet, Vol. 6 Escape From Lucien (Amulet, #6) by Kazu Kibuishi by Monday, when I plan on returning some things to the library then hanging out and writing for a while.

I will never order from those places. All the times that I have they've said "Oh the book you want is out of stock and we're sorry but we don't know when we will get it out to you but we still took your money" so I was like "Oh really? Well then I suggest you refund me and cancel the order if you can't even tell me when you'll get it out to me..." so I would rather pay full price for the book and actually receive my book.

Cheryl (cawils_99) I finished Zodiac (Zodiac, #1) by Romina Russell which I really loved. Now I'm going to finish The Coldest Girl in Coldtown by Holly Black .

message 582: by Caitlin (new)

Caitlin (ct_hughes55) | 12 comments I am currently working on a list titled: 50 States of Young Adult Fiction. I finished the book about Alabama, Alaska, and Arizona and I am picking up the book about Arkansas from the library tonight. It's called: Where Things Come Back by John Corey Whaley. I am also reading Ender's Game which was a present for Christmas and the Bearing an Hour Glass (I really loved the first book of this series but this one is such a struggle for me, as you can see I haven't picked it back up in a while.)

The Start of Me and You by Emery Lord

message 585: by Tommy (new)

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 318 comments I finished The Necromancer (The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel, #4) by Michael Scott this morning. I liked it a lot. Quite a bit more than the first three books of the series.

I started The Shadowhand Covenant by Brian Farrey as well. Loved the first book, and just a couple chapters in I'm already liking this one just as much. I really wish this series was more popular.

From what I've read so far, it's about a girl trying to find herself again and love a year after her boyfriend drowns.

I can already tell that there is a strong group of female friends (like five of them), so I'm super excited about the frienship too. Emery is great at that.

message 588: by Tommy (new)

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 318 comments I finished The Shadowhand Covenant by Brian Farrey today. Man, I loved it. some of you folk should check this series out if you haven't.

I started Mercury by Hope Larson a little bit ago. Ran by it at the library and have been meaning to read a Hope Larson graphic novel for a while. Just started it, but so far it's interesting.

I don't know what to read next yet.

Cheryl (cawils_99) My boys and I are going to start listening to Infinity (Chronicles of Nick, #1) by Sherrilyn Kenyon .

message 592: by Tommy (new)

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 318 comments Finished Mercury by Hope Larson and, sadly, was kind of let down. I've been wanting to read a Hope Larson graphic novel for years now and this book sounded so promising. It wasn't that it was bad, just kind of... flat? I don't know. I loved the artwork, though. I'll give H-Lars another shot :)

Up next will probably be Theodosia and the Eyes of Horus (Theodosia Throckmorton, #3) by R.L. LaFevers

Tika (fangirlconfessions) | 70 comments @Caitlen Falling Kingdoms starts off good then . . . girl, I'm not even going to say too much lol. It's not a horrible read or anything, but quite predictable and rushed. I still want to continue with the rest of the series though.
