@Justin, yes Maggie Stiefvater has a unique writing style.

Just started Divergent (Divergent, #1) by Veronica Roth . I think I'm the only one on the planet who hasn't read it yet.

Eve, how did you like Uglies?

message 462: by Eve (new)

Eve (arweneve) It was alright. I mean it was pretty good. I don't know. Everyone has their own opinion about it so I don't know if you'll like it.
Oh my gosh that was the most unhelpful review! :P

message 463: by Jes Reaver (new)

Jes Reaver (jesreaver) Finished: The Graveyard Book

Started: Seraphina, M is for Magic, Harry Potter 6 (re-read)

Up Next: The Elite (The Selection, #2) by Kiera Cass

message 464: by Jes Reaver (new)

Jes Reaver (jesreaver) I hope I'm not sticking my nose in or anything but I read the Uglies trilogy in a weekend and it was the most infuriating thing I've ever read. I loved the premise (kind of, to keep this short) but the writing and the characters made me want to scream and throw things. I figure the worst books are the ones I'm indifferent towards, that are forgettable. This one wasn't that. I am really holding out hope for an Uglies tv series or something. It was a while ago so I'm a little foggy on what exactly was so awful to me but it's worth a read I think, quick anyway. It's a bit preachy on environmentalism/veganism/sustainability in a way that put me off a bit. Seemed like the author thought this dystopia was some sort of ideal world in a way. But after all that I'd still say worth a shot.

Ha ha! I think I'll put Uglies on the back burner for now.

That's my favoritest book of all time! <3
The covers for the next two books are awesome. Unravel Me (Shatter Me, #2) by Tahereh Mafi Ignite Me (Shatter Me, #3) by Tahereh Mafi And yes, it infuriates me that they don't match.

Is this your first Maggie S. book? The next book is even better, IMO. Her writing is so good I've decided I'm gonna read everything she writes.

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 318 comments Finished The Spindlers by Lauren Oliver I really liked it. It was fun and quick and the imagery was fantastic. I recommend it, especially as an in-between-series read.

Up next, I'll probably reread Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (Harry Potter, #3) by J.K. Rowling until I can get back to the library later this week.
