We moved from the Northeast to the Southwest of the United States recently and most of my non-reading time has been spent getting used to our wonderful new state, New Mexico! This task is based on the explorations we've done around the state so far.
This is a one book task. Pick any option.
Required: Indicate the option.
No book listing children’s as a main page genre may be used for this task.
The genres "Sequential Art", "Comics", "Comic Book", and "Manga" are allowed for this task.
Option 1: One of my favorite parts of New Mexico is the number of national parks and national monuments. According to the National Park Service website, New Mexico has 15 national parks! I haven't been to all of them yet, but it's definitely one of my goals! Read a book with a number of pages evenly divisible by 15. For example, The Great Gatsby with 180 pages works (180/15 = 12) and Homegoing with 300 pages works (300/15 = 20), but One Kick with 400 pages doesn't (400/15 = 26.67).
Option 2: Several of the national monuments and national historic sites in New Mexico relate to the national labs here, which developed and built the first nuclear weapons during World War II. For this option, read a book written by a single author whose first and last initials can be found in the phrase MANHATTAN PROJECT. Middle name initials may be ignored.
Option 3: The reason we decided to move out here was because we were ready to see new places and try new things. For this option, read a book with a main page genre of Adventure, either embedded or standalone.
