Quotes can be added by any user. There is no way for GR to check they are accurately attributed. In addition, Librarians are volunteer users, we have not control over what people add and the site functionality. We also do not have the authority to decide what should be ON goodreads. For that you will need to contact GR staff.
In this case I have seen various sources confirming there is no prove that Hitler said that quote, therefor I have moved it to Anon.
As the website does not allow to add a comment or a description we can expect a duplicate quote to eventually be added to Hitler again, or someone eventually moving it back.
Hi , i am new - can you also move this one to 'anon' or tell me how to do it? https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/1281...

Hi Kirsty, as non librarian you won't be able to do it.
Hi Kirsty, as non librarian you won't be able to do it.Looked into it and moved it. Ideally quoting some source may be helpful.

Quotes should not be listed under Anonymous, unless they are from books with that correctly listed as the author name.

The quote was: "This year will go down in history. For the first time, a civilized nation has full gun registration. Our streets will be safer, our police more efficient, and the world will follow our lead into the future!"
I attempted to check the accuracy of this quote, and found several websites that found no credible source linking this statement to Adolph Hitler. Goodreads includes this quote as something that Hitler said. If this is not an actual quote of his, should it be included in Goodreads' quotes?

Thank you for your consideration.
