Sarah Hello!
I'm Sarah. I'm 17 and I'm from Dublin, Ireland. I've been a member of goodreads for a few years now but this is my first time joining a group. I enjoy reading sci-fi, fantasy and historical books. My goal this year is 25 books. My goal normally would be higher but I'm going to be taking some really important exams in a few months so all my time is being taken up by school work and then I'll be starting college. I don't see myself having too much time for reading this year but I'll see how it goes.

Alexandra Hello, I'm Alexa, I'm 19 and I'm from Colombia. I am new in Goodreads and this is my first time joining a group. I love read classics but now I am reading mistery.

Julius Evans | 1 comments Hi, I live in Maryland, I enjoy thrillers and legal thrillers. I've been tracking my reading since 2016 I believe. I just finished, 'The Rooster Bar' and I thought it was a GoodRead! I joined this group because I'd like to discuss the books I've read with others who have read the same books.

Thanks for the welcome. I'll check in every now and then.

Happy Easter.

Jasmine | 1 comments Hi everyone! I was born and raised in Tennessee, but now live in Atlanta, GA. Like many in this group, I love reading anything I can get my hands on. I'm a fan of suspense/thrillers, cozy mysteries, contemporary fiction....basically anything that catches my interest. My current goal for 2018 is to read 20 books, although I will be completely thrilled if I read more than that. I'm looking forward to finding out what others are reading and how they are progressing with their book goal!

Rachael Critchlow Hello everyone, I’m Rachael. I’ve just joined this group!
I’m 25 and live in Oxfordshire, UK :)

I have recently found my love of reading again and a large break of 6 years (having 2 children doesn’t leave much time for reading)

I have set up a goodreads account after seeing so many people mention it.. I love it!
My goodreads challenge for 2018 is 52 books!
I’m currently reading number 17 😊

I mainly read fiction. I love crime fiction/thrillers, especially a good detective series. My favourite that I’ve read recently is the DCI Erika Foster series by Robert Bryndza! Can’t wait to the most recent one to be released 📚

Looking forward to following this group, getting to you know and following your challenges and trying a few new books.

message 173: by David (new)

David (bladecutter) | 14 comments Hello everyone!

I'm David, just someone in Houston. I've been reading from the age of four, and a while back found my way to Goodreads and this group. It took me a while to actually become relatively active here and post anything, but I'm here now!

I enjoy most any book in the fantasy or sci-fi genres, including their subgenres and anything mixed in. Books that play with the language and books that are simple both appeal to me for their own reasons; the former is a pleasure to read for the prose, the latter for the mileage you get out of the words.

I'm not sure if I have a personal reading goal at the moment. I've been spending most of my time refining my writing, so I suppose I can say my current goal is expanding my reading in to genres I had no real interest in. It's good for ideas - good writing needs good reading, after all. I'm trying to pick up the classics, so we'll see how that goes.

message 174: by [deleted user] (new)

hi everyone how are you? I live in apple valley, california, usa. I love to read books on religion, diseases, self-help, nlp, psychology, pool & billiards, science fiction, biographies and pretty much anything else. I found it on the internet so I thought I would join this is my first time being in any kind of club. my reading goal for this year right now is 10 books. I picked a small number to start with because I am a very slow reader and a lot of the big words are hard for me to read. plus I want all of you to know that I have a phonological disorder that makes it really hard for me to read. however I really do enjoy reading so I am very happy to be part of this group thank you all of you for letting me join.

Matias Mestas Hi there, my name is Matías and I'm from Buenos Aires, Argentina. I don't really know how this works but it seemed a good group to start with. It's funny because I set my goal for this year to be 12 books (one per month), and I have already read 8. So I think I'm gonna have to change that one pretty soon. By the way, I'm a journalist and I like to read fiction in general and WWII stories. I'm also a big Stephen King fan.

Anyway, you guys have a nice day and thank you for letting me join the group!
