About 10 years ago I read a book about two brothers from earth who ended up in a different world with dragon riders. Dragons bonded for life with their rider and music was how they communicated, usually singing. At the end of the book, one dragon was slowly dying because it had lost its rider. One brother decided to go home to earth but one played his harmonica for the dying dragon, then leapt off the building hoping the dragon would catch him, which it did. Im pretty sure it’s not Anne mccaffrey but that’s about it. Please help!
