An issue with the ISBN

Hi everybody!
There are some books have an issue with the ISBN

This book has ISBN10 # 9770920452
خارطة الحب (I checked this book)

By converting ISBN10 to ISBN13 it will be 9789770920459 and this number is for another book (not the same author)
السائرون نياماَ

I checked Amazon and found this book (another edition of the second book)

(ISBN10 # 9770920452 and ISBN13 # 9789770920459)
But according to WorldCat the ISBN13# 9789770920459 is for the book

This edition السائرون نياما has the same info with the one on amazon and exactly the same cover photo (second edition is written on cover), but with different ISBN (ISBN13# 9786000033477)
But on Amazon I found this

Also this edition السائرون نياما has a similar ISBN with typo (9770920455)

All the books above are from the same publisher

Hi Ismail,

ISBN number can and are often re-used. Not much you can do in those cases. It's best to leave a librarian note (for any other librarians that might be looking into it) with the other title. As an added bonus (if you feel extra nice) you can leave a note in the description and interlink so users are able to find their exact book.

Re 9786000033477. If you search on google you can find that السائرون نياما is a title that uses that ISBN. Also the edition was created in 2008 by a user. I prefer to trust that over the little information on Amazon! And this is actually a candle and the ISBN is an item number. Always best to search on the "publisher" website.

The edition with ISBN10 9770920455 seems to match the info on the link provided on the book page. However maybe that is not an ISBN which would explain why it does not convert. There are probably further checks that can be done here which I cannot help with

Hi Empress! and thanks for checking

Searching in the publisher's website gave me nothing, and I didn't see the link on the book's page (ISBN10# 9770920455) before now. I think it's enough to keep this book as it is, I've seen books with ISBNs which couldn't be converted.

I can leave a librarian note on the books with the same ISBN, but as you said there are probably further checks that can be done so I'll be patient and wait for more ideas.

When it comes to moving ISBN in general that is not something done lightly. It is most likely other librarians will agree with me that they should stay as they are. If there was an ISBN moved from one book to another that could have been reverted but that is not the case.
This edition can be added as an ACE

Unfortunately sometimes there is only so much we can do! It would be best if someone familiar with the language could assist you.

LOL! It looks too complicated for my brain. I can't even distinguish the separate letters! I'll stick to editing roman and crillic language based entries :D
