You really have a grasp on the genre, as far as thrillers go. I've discovered quite a few names. Thanks!

Diane May (diane_may) | 3 comments Oh my God, Sean, I love your list!! My TBR will grow and grow and grow... thank you :)

message 12: by Karen (new)

Karen | 118 comments My TBR has around 2,000. Sad I most likely will not get through them all.

message 13: by Linda (new)

Linda Branich (mabranich) | 551 comments Mine is out of control as well, but just this week I decided to read 2-3 a week if I can. I am in a very small rural community and even though I go to libraries in two other counties, I am having trouble finding some. I will try interlibrary loan and give them a month to find them beginning Oct 1, and then just remove them from my TBR list. I did find two today, so I am happy about that. Being retired, I no longer want to purchase books.

Linda Branich (mabranich) | 551 comments I figure to look for about 10-12 a month.

Cathi | 7 comments It's hard to get it all in. You'd have to stop doing everything else.

Lorrea - WhatChaReadin'? (whatchatreadin) James Patterson is one of my favorite authors. If I exclude his kids and YA books, I don't think I could ever read everything he has written since he puts out so many a year.

message 17: by Cathi (new)

Cathi | 7 comments I got a big bag of books from the Bouchercon confrence with some pals and fellow authors. Of course, I bought some, too. Recently finished, THE EXPAT by Chris Pavone--excellent! Also SHE RIDES SHOTGUN. Now am starting one from my SinC sib, L.A. Chandler,
THE SILVER GUN, an Art Deco Mystery. So far, super.

Kirsten (kmcripn) I am so jealous at those of you that can go to those conventions!!

Lorrea,

I do like James Patterson, especially his earlier books.

But I remember an article by Andrew Gross, who explained James Patterson knows nothing of the story idea, just says about this?, then passes it over, the guest writer, writes the book, and James Patterson checks the ideas etc, and add his ideas, then the author does more.

Then approved by James Patterson, who then gets paid over 50 % . while the guest writers gain publicity.

James Patterson comes out with 8-12 books a year, he could never produce that amount himself.

I believe he is cheating a bit now, just my thoughts, although I have many to read, and do enjoy them, not quite the same when they become factory like..

I am sure I could add a few more authors to this list.

On number 9 of 9 of Angela Marsons.

message 21: by Marie (new)

Marie I too have a bunch of books I need to finish in a series, but I don't think I can even attempt to list them all on here as it would take me forever to even go through all my bookshelves to get them listed in this thread! lol I have over 2,000 books stuck in my amazon cloud, but another 2,000 that I want to read! I just know that I have tons of series that I need to finish reading the books. :) lol

Yes, I think we need to either find the fountain of youth or something that gives us immorality so we are able to read forever! lol :)

Benjamin Thomas | 11 comments I kind of started a book club for Book Hoarders who need to reduce their TBR list and actually READ the books they love. It's pretty new, but I'm hoping others who have this struggle will join and mutually support one another.

The struggle is real.
