I’m looking for a ghost romance paperback that I read back in 2006. From what I remember it was about a girl being a ghost in a house that the hero buys. She slowly becomes alive again when they fall in love. I think the heroine had put some kind of spell on herself that she’d stay there until she falls in love? I think the cover was like an illustrated cartoon house with heroine sitting in the attic window. Thank you!

The only other PN element was the heroMs mother had a Psychic friend who could interact with ghosts or something. No vampires. The hero buys the house and starts working on renovations on it. I hope I made sense. Thank you for your help!
I know of one book that might fit, in which the hero finds what seems to be a girl living in the house he's renovating but, part way through the book, they both find out she's actually a ghost. Since that's obviously a spoiler for the book I'm thinking of, I thought I should probably check with you whether this might be the one before I post the details so that I don't spoil it for anyone else. (In the one I'm thinking of, the girl was actually murdered and her murderer, who was her roommate when they were students, is living under her identity.)
Very similar to the one I’m talking about, but the one I’m referring to was murdered by her fiancé from back when the Salem witch huntings were happening. I think it was the Salem witch huntings, but she’s from a different time.
