Okay so WOW I love this book! Seriously I love these characters and I can't wait to learn more. Her power really is rather interesting they all are but I don't like Mina. I get she saw more than them and remembers more but she is just vengeful even to her kind like mean girl with an extra side of bitchy. So yeah I don't trust her. I think she may have left some parts out.


But Lazlo is amazing working hard and living his new life. I love him. Still hate Thyon. He's vindictive and I am so glad every time he is shown up. Oh when Lazlo was taunting him...I thought it was amazing. Although I seriously think he should CYA and tell Godslayer in charge that Thyon has it out for him and wishes him dead so that should anything happen to him it would be known and it might keep Thyon off his back if they end up locked alone together at some point. Just saying. But my new favorite is for sure Calixte. I just adore her. My favorite line/part thus far is:

"It's a woeful species that's all male."

"More like a nonexistent species," remarked Calixte. "Men lacking both wombs and good sense."

I mean come on I had to put a reminder in my phone to go back and find that quote when I wasn't driving so I could save it because it was epic.

So now we know the problem. I had suspected it as soon as we started seeing from the citadel but now we know for sure. I think they could co-exist (maybe not Mina) if they all worked together. They are not their parents. Speaking of the Godslayer is her dad???? He seemed to regret what happened when talking about the past so maybe he didn't mean to or it was taken differently??? My personal theory at the moment is that he killed the mom as she sounded pure evil but he didn't kill all the children that was someone else or something like that. I like him so I don't want to think him a child killer.

We shall see though! I am loving this!
