So can I just say how much I'm enjoying this story. I want Strange to find his adventure and live out all the stories he has in his head. But also I want something horrible to happen to the Golden boy he is pure evil. Strange was trying to help him and he basically took his help and solved a huge problem but only threatened him never thanked him. Then he took his only possessions. And having read them and studied them he took his words and feelings and used them as his own knowing how deeply important they were to Strange he perverted them and belittled him. Knowing that. I would have called him out. His promise was only about the first time he made no promise of not revealing him to be a lying sack of trash when he took his books. Also side note I would have rather burned them than let him get his hands on them. Or better yet hide them in the library somewhere. Plus when he was denied a chance to meet them he should have been like okay so my books are good enough for Golden boy to request and study but I'm still not good enough to plead my case??? But in the end I love how he just came forth and started talking in their words and it was clear that Golden boy had used his history even if he didn't throw him under the carriage as he should have. I'm so glad he's with them and starting his adventure. I can't wait to hear more.

Side note I'm listening to the audiobook so I can't spell half the stuff and posting from my phone and didn't want to look it up hence Golden boy lol.

I am absolutely in love with Laini Taylor's writing. She has such a unique, lush, and rich writing style. Also, I love Lazlo. He is such a well written character.

I agree with Eve, Thyon is just horrible. For a brief time I felt sorry for him because of his horrible father and I could almost understand why he made Lazlo triple promise, since his father would have definitely killed Lazlo. However, once he took Lazlo's books and belittled him I was completely against him.

I loved how in the end Lazlo was brave enough to speak up for himself and is now going to Weep. I cannot wait to continue on with the story and find out more about Weep and what happened. Also, that prologue is super intriguing and I can't wait to see how it will fit in our story.
