I'll be holding an online book launch party soon for my debut novel and plan to use my Wordpress blog as I'd like to drive more traffic to the blog. However, I'm starting to wonder about the logistics of this. I'm not worried about instantaneous feedback as I plan to hold competitions and invite answers by email. Also, I will be publishing the agenda a couple of weeks beforehand so people know what to expect and can take part in whichever competitions they prefer. I'll be publishing 6 main blog posts plus regular updates throughout the day. I'm just wondering if anyone else has used Wordpress to run their launch party and was it a success? Do you have any tips regarding potential pitfalls? I don't really want to use Facebook as that wouldn't drive traffic to my blog and I wouldn't be able to draft the posts in advance and then just publish them on the day. Any advice will be appreciated.
