Book: Potato Surprise: A Brimstone Prequel by Angel Martinez 120 pgs/GR

Review: This was so much fun! I've really enjoyed the Brimstone series and this prequel tells the story of how Shax and Verin acquired the Brimstone with it's fabulous IA Ms. Ivana. It also tells the tale of their first delivery job. Of course it's not what it seems - gem toned potatoes that aren't actually potatoes and of course it doesn't go as planned.
There is a romance but the lovers aren't meant to be together and that was okay. Normally I need an HEA, but knowing that Shax will meet his true love in the next book, I was okay with Julian being Mr. Right Now and the two parting amicably. This was my first romance with a trans character, which I need to remedy ASAP. I really liked Julian and would love to follow more of his adventures.

Review:

This was a cute, if so what simplistic read. Supernatural consultant Dane has been hired to stop some unruly dragons interfering with planes at a local airport. The characters were fun to read about and the romance was sweet. A nice fun beginning to the series.

Wow team - we are looking GREAT for possibly winning this thing! I think we are currently ahead, but it will all pan out over the next little while. =)

We are only waiting on Caipi to finish and Tink to correct her completion post! It is early morning for them, so they should be up and moving soon.

I'm about to head to bed. As soon as the last two things are posted, someone please post in this thread so it can be confirmed. I will not try to check in during the night, but I just might... =D

Review:
An easy, light read, just not much to remember after the last page is turned. I liked Asa and Lachlan together, although, to be honest, it was all too much insta for me. Insta-lust, insta-sex and then the marriage after only knowing each other a few weeks. Nonetheless it could have been at least a three star book for me until the last two chapters, where I found Asa's reaction to what happened to Lachlan totally out of character.
