I agree that (view spoiler)[ Chaol is getting a bit annoying. I understand that he is upset about Dorian and afraid for Adarlan but I don't think he needs to be so rude to Aelin all the time. (hide spoiler)]

I also find (view spoiler)[ Manon's chapters quite interesting. I didn't really care about Manon in Heir of Fire but I guess she's growing on me. (hide spoiler)]

I didn't expect (view spoiler)[ Rowan to come to Rifthold but I'm glad he did. I like the relationship he and Aelin have. (hide spoiler)]

Wow (view spoiler)[the plans Aelin made...just wow. I really believed she was in Arobynn's control and thought her whole plan was ruined but she was two steps ahead. Also the whole will thing, genius. Now she's rich! (hide spoiler)]

I'm glad (view spoiler)[she finally realized her feelings for Rowan, it's about time. I love their connection. (hide spoiler)]

What completely shocked me was (view spoiler)[Lysandra!! I just believed she was just a normal woman but damnnn. I really grew to love her character. (hide spoiler)]

I also believed for a second (view spoiler)[ that Aelin was under Arobynn's control. I was wondering how Aelin let him slip that ring on her so easily. But yes, her plan was brilliant. (hide spoiler)]

I think it (view spoiler)[ will be interesting to see how Manon's character will develop. I wonder if she'll eventually try to help the yellowleg witches bearing those demon babies. I'm also interested in how the relationship between her and Asterin will develop. (hide spoiler)]

I finished this a few days ago but didn't have time to write comments until now.

I also think this is my favorite book in the series so far. Well, to be honest I didn't really care about the two first books but I wanted to keep reading the series because I kept hearing it gets better in book three. Guess it was worth reading on because this book I really liked. :D

I was surprised about (view spoiler)[ the king. I always thought he was the big villain in this series. I never suspected that Perrington was the one behind everything. (hide spoiler)]

I was also surprised at (view spoiler)[ how well Chaol took the loss of his legs. Maybe it's the fact that there's hope he will be healed. (hide spoiler)]

I wonder how Aelin (view spoiler)[ will be welcomed in Terrasen. Will people be happy that she's back or will they be angry that she hid so long and didn't stand up for her people. (hide spoiler)]
