TIME TRAVEL EXPERIENCES: In a Sense, we all are Time Travelers! We are surviving each and every Active Time-Point in this Timeline.......

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...

This sounds good Vicki! :-)

Hi John, per the rules the book has to have less than 5,000 ratings on Goodreads. You can certainly nominate something else, though!
Thanks for participating!

Hi Captain. Thank you for participating! Group rules require that the book be at least 6 months old. Since this was published this January you would need to wait until July to nominated.
Of course you are more than welcome to nominate something else in the meantime

I second this.

The Science is great and very simple...

I second this one!

None of his books has many ratings, and I don't understand why: could it be ratings from readers in other countries don't get counted?

I would like to second that nomination.

Hi Maddie. Planetfall Origins didn't qualify because it was too new. You can certainly second a different book if you still want to. :)

Airs Above the Ground by Mary Stewart (1964)
GR rating 4.02 · Rating details · 4,657 Ratings · 263 Reviews
Mary Stewart may have been one the first to write mystery/suspense/romance books. She was one of the first to write heroines that actually helped solved problems instead of standing around screaming. This is one of my favorites.
I just want everyone to find out about her!

I like the looks of it and have it on hold from the library.

Hi Kate. Thanks for checking. If you look back at message 10 I noted that it didn't qualify because it has too many ratings.
I'm always happy to have someone double check my work though, so I don't miss anything. :)

No doubt about it -- at 650+ pages, this book is a commitment. But it's also brilliant, plainspoken, and even addictive. I was born the year the Soviet Union fell, so I have no firsthand experience of the Cold War. But seeing the connections Dr. Westad makes cast whole swathes of recent global history and contemporary politics in a new and fascinating light. By the end, I felt like I'd taken a masterful and truly perspective-altering university seminar.

Hi Amaka, thanks for participating!
The rules of the group state the book must be at least six months old. You can certainly nominate a different book now, and nominate Freshwater again later on this year.
Let me know if you have questions!

Okay, I'd like to nominate The Summer that Melted Everything instead, and keep my second of Here

(Erin, each member can only second one book, so I went with Airs Above the Ground since you listed that one first.

1. All nominations must meet the following criteria:
-Published in or after 1960, but at least 6 months old
-No more than 5,000 Goodreads ratings
-No self-promotion
2. Each member may nominate ONE book per month
3. Each member may also second ONE book per month
If someone else nominates a book that you are interested in, simply post that you would like to SECOND that book to give it another nomination vote.
4. We will vote on the five books that have the most seconds for the month's read
If less than five books receive seconds, I will pick whatever other nominated books have the highest star rating to round out the five needed for the poll.
Happy Nominating!
