Both series are vastly different.

I suggest knocking out the Dark Paladin before Alpha World simply because at the time of this reply it has 2 books in it's series, soon to be 3. This will give you time to immerse yourself with the Alpha World series which is 4 books long ; ) Like a book dessert! 💯

I have read both Alpha is in my opinion a much better written box. if I am not mistaking Dark Paladin series is translated novel. Not being mean but there seems to be something lost in translation. Also alpha world is a seamless story more so then Dark Paladin

I'm just about to finish up the second dark paladin. Read both, you won't be disappointed. I think alpha is much bigger on character development while dark paladin is more about the complex world building. Can't go wrong with either
