I like the narrator so far! At first I wasn't sure, but she has definitely grown on me. She reads super slow though, I have her on 2x and I'm usually a 1.5-1.75x kind of person. What do you think of her?Chapters 6-12

I'm not really loving the book so far. It's a very slow start. But it's a least a 3 star. :/

I have a list at the beginning of my book which explains who everyone is Do you guys not have that in the audiobook version??? I can try to post it if you want. There's a lot of info that could help. ^-^

Oh my gosh thank you Bookbuyer! That is so helpful, I was seriously butchering everyone’s name. We have so many people left to meet still, we have barely scratched the surface of all of those characters!

Thank you thank you thank you!! I’m pretty sure I screwed up a lot of names too, I didn’t even try to spell half of them xD This definitely helps with the history too!

I can't keep scrolling back and forth but it does help to have it for when I get really confused. :)

I really hope it picks up then. At 50% it should have picked up like 20% ago. :/
Wow you guys are so far ahead of me! I'm so slow on audio, I wish I had the actual book instead. I usually think every series has a slow start and hate everything but this one I didn't think that for once, but it looks like I'm in the minority!! I could definitely use a little more action at this point though. I'm hoping to finish by tonight too!
Did you know they tell you who her father is right at the start of the book? O.O I really need to start paying attention to the info they give you! (It's in the family tree)

NP. I'm trying to figure out a way to do the family tree as well. Probably won't work though. :(
Nope won't work. It's really tiny print too. I'm going to try to read it on my kobo instead. If you are curious about any of the main four families I can just give you the info. It's not a spoiler either since it's at the start of the book. ^-^

I just work 12 hour shifts so I have a lot of audiobook time xD I probably wouldn’t get done as fast without it!

Are you serious?! Audio was obviously a bad choice for this one. I got it so I could start at work but now I'm stuck on a weekend with just the audio and am missing all the little breadcrumbs the real book left!

Danii did the author ever reveal in the actual book part who her father was? Or is it left up to the family tree? Yes or no is fine since both Ashley and I aren't done. ^-^

Her father is Brendan Allenach (1516) her mother is obviously Rosalie Paquet (1528-1551). They had an affair. Although since the wife died how is it an affair? Or did they divorce???He is married to Neve Redmond (1520-1545) and he has two other children Rian (1541) and Sean (1545).

I really want more in depth details about all of the families! I hope she comes out with a history book on the side for the world, that would be so cool!

I guess a book about that first queen could be good. ^-^
Just like back stories on some of the main families and more in depth about how everything happened! Just like the history book on Maevan history that Brienna read :) That would be cool if she made it into an actual book!

Growing up in the southern Kingdom of Valenia at the renowned Magnalia House should have prepared her for such a life.
