SB | 52 comments Hey everyone!

To hopefully widen up my clientelle, I'm offering free beta-reading for the first chapter of your story for a limited time only.

My feedback is one hundred percent honest and if you'd like, I can rip your work into shreds in order to help you improve, or give you some milder, general feedback.

I'm currently studying BA English and Creative Writing, so I have a fairly good grasp of the English language. I will be using the track features on Word to provide feedback on overall plot, character, description, clarity and overall readability.

I accept all genres though have a preference for YA, fantasy, sci-fi, horror. If you have any queries, please don't hesitate to contact me!

Happy writing :)

Ameen Khan Hello, I am a college student and began work on my first book. It is a work in progress and about 24K words so far. The genre would be YA/Fantasy, and I would love it if you provided some feedback on my first chapter! Email if you are interested: Ameenk97@gmail.com

Synopsis:
Evil creatures called Demons emerged from the depths of the planet and began to go forth with their plans to overthrow mankind. They were stopped in their tracks by Celestials who were brought down from the skies, and years after their great battle, Sora meets and works with his new friends to once again, stop their attempts. By using their powers and intellect, they make their way through intense battles and mysteries to save mankind.

First paragraph:
Hollowness. An empty room, not in tangibility, but in essence. Life slowly becoming a part of the walls themselves. The wilting bodies scattered around finally beginning to succumb to the deadly aura that’s been looming over our heads for months now. I say “our,” but truthfully speaking, I’m the only one alive anymore. But truthfully speaking again, “alive” is a loose term. It’s been months since sunlight has seen my perspiring skin, and the chains that keep my arms apart have rusted into my wrist. My trousers stick to my legs like a second skin because of my urine, but the smell of my own bodily fluids doesn’t bother me as much as the smell of the rotting flesh. I’ve forgotten what fresh air smelled like.
