Page Counts off

Can someone explain why we end up with two editions, both Kindle, with differing page numbers?

We have The Veranda listed with 276 pages. The link goes to a page not found.

Then we have The Veranda, 235 pages, although the Amazon linked book says 260 pages.

Both these are listed as Kindle editions, both published the same day. Do things like this get combined, with the page count corrected, or left alone?

This happens quite often. They get combined, in fact they already are combined. The one that is no longer available stays as it was.

It's actually the one with 276 pages that has changed to 260, and that happens all the time. There isn't a day goes by that I'm not changing a page count course Amazon has changed it.
