finished (view spoiler)[ so this was my least favorite of the three books which I was expecting. I like how at the end they were all hanging out like normal teenagers, but I would have liked one more chapter of their actual feelings coming from the characters themselves not someone (AIDAN in this case) watching them. It was good that it ended the way it did though. with AIDAN saying it was watching them but staying away. so I am torn lol. I wanted like an epilogue from Hannah's journal or something about what happened years down the road, maybe there will be a novella of that? ;) we can only hope.
I'm so glad everyone lived... I was really scared Nik and Ezra died. I was starting to think everyone was going to die and it was going to end up being a story about sacrificing yourself for the good of your world and justice. making them all martyrs and heroes but I'm so glad that wasn't the case.

This book is so much more horrible than the others on the scale of war crimes. I don't handle those types of actions well so parts are hard for me to read TBH. (view spoiler)[ I loved the first book and the fact that the authors didn't shy away from the hard stuff. The second one very much followed in those footsteps... but I feel like this third was... soft? And kind of slower paced than the other ones?

Idk, I'm on the one hand I'm super glad the crew came out together. On the other hand... is that realistic?? Especially with the surrender of the BT crew in the end. They killed what... like two thousand people at the start of the invasion and dumped them in huge craters... your telling me none of those people were children? And that shooting of one child toward the end completely changed their attitudes? I'm just not sure that makes sense. I can't believe that Lindstrom's team wouldn't see him as a traitor. It just all felt really neatly wrapped up. (hide spoiler)]
