This book is pretty great! The first part where Verity is in prison is pretty nerve-racking.I love how the entire time part of me is loving the whole story of a friendship while the other half is secretly laughing at Von Linden because he is getting absolutely nothing! Verity is pretty much the best captured spy of all time. Maddie's half of the story for me was less interesting until the end. You could just feel the entire build up until that point. Though I am not a huge fan of the sad endings. It was a huge twist to see the act of courageousness by a best friend. It was so intriguing to see Engel slowly turn towards the end of the book. Once again I will say it this is a great book. One of the best reads this year.
