As we delve into this murder mystery, let's talk about the characters we've been introduced to so far. How do you feel about Susan and about Alan? Alan seems a little eccentric and sketchy, but do we completely trust Susan's perspective?

Try and describe the tone of the story thus far. Does it give you a particular mood or make you think of an environment/atmosphere?

I thought it was really cool how we are introduced to the story by reading the book that this story is about. It made me pay attention to things I normally skim over, like the author blurbs. I kept thinking, "There's something here; this will be important later."

Raeann | 21 comments I am a third of the way through the book. I LOVE it, and am so curious how the "editors note" at the beginning will fit in.
I too paid for extra attention reading the intro, usually easily skimmed over, as I was already trying to find clues to the mystery. HA!

Raeann | 21 comments A third of the way through and I couldn't even remember who Susan and Alan were. I had to go back and look around. That's how great of a detective I am !
What strikes me as odd, and I'm not sure why exactly, are the Praises for Atticus Pund at the front of the "novel". They just seem odd.

I like to think everything is going to be wrapped up tightly and the praises for Atticus at the beginning will make sense. I'll be really disappointed if they don't mean anything and were just added to make the novel within the novel seem more legit. -.-
