I read this book during the 90s. I could have sworn it was called Total Recall. I have done a LOT of searches, using oodles of variations of what I remember. But sadly no joy. This book begins with a mother and daughter at home, home broken into by 2 brothers and the 2 taken hostage. The protagonist is a famous game show host. While out finding the money his family is murdered. Returning hom3 to find this he gets into a fight with the brothers, and if left with amnesia after being beaten. I really don’t remember much else, except at one stage one of the brothers leaves their safe house and attacks a female jigger, and kills her dog. And I remember it ending with the protagonist finding out who the brothers were and having them on his new game show. That’s it! I’d LOVE some help!,

Now can anyone find it to buy online???
I just searched Goodreads with the title, and there it was after its more popular namesakes :) There seems to be a few used copies on sale on Amazon, and probably on some other websites too.
