Are you still in?

Halfway though. Loving it. I'm usually very character driven but this is about the mystery and the author is doing a great job of giving hints in a trickle while throwing in some red herrings.
Two-thirds of the way done. Still loving the surprises. I have a few points now where I'm wondering how he's going to reconcile those with the story arc.
I'm feeling guilty because I'm so behind on my BRs. Will pick this up as soon as I finish The Passage. So a couple of days. I'm excited to get to this, but I don't want to abandon anything else.

No worries. This is excellent. Did you ever get back to China Mountain Zhang ? I DNF'd that one.

@scott you scared me a little, lol. Not DNF’d though, I plan m getting back to it. I’ll have to start over though, just like with The Passage. I was reading these during a really bad time in my personal life, and I think my brain rejected them.

It's not character driven which is what I usually like but the mystery of the world he's developed is excellent. It is really slow paced but the psychology beind it has intrigued me.

I hadn't seen your post about your father passing. I am truly sorry and as one who has experienced true grief I know there are no words that can help but know you are in my thoughts.

Thanks for the kind words Scott.
I've restarted this book now so I'll share my thoughts soon. So far it's as intriguing as I found it the first time. The political atmosphere adds a welcome layer of complexity to this story.

This may be a new favourite series for me! I heard book 2 gets even better and I'm here for it. I went in knowing nothing of the plot and loved how everything unravelled.

@Scott do you want to schedule in book two for next month? Because I'm ready and I'm almost caught up on all my unfinished books and buddy reads.

I'm 9 on 2 ebook copies from my library. I'd love to schedule and BR it with you but can we wait on a date until I'm a bit closer? Sometimes 9 on 2 can be 50 days and other times 25.

Not a problem, I know that life very well. I actually bought the whole trilogy so I'm flexible.

Sweet, I appreciate it. I'll update this thread when I'm closer to the top of the waitlist with a proposed date.
