Just finished chapter 6. It's still moving a bit slowly but I expect things to start happening in the next chapter.I'm wondering if this will be one of those rare occasions where the film improves upon the book, at least as far as this point, since I can imagine how visually interesting these last three chapters could come across if done well.
I am mid-through chapter seven and honestly I am struggling. It is good enough to keep me reading but I find myself totally confused as to why we are even here? Do we really just throw ourselves into supposed danger because three weird strangers tell us to? is this just me?

Children have no choice but to go along with the adults in their lives most of the time. I suppose they often feel as though they don't have much control in their own lives.
Found it very difficult to focus during this part of the book. A few nights in a row, I fell asleep reading the same paragraph, lol.
This book still hasn't become very interesting. I liked chapter 6 a bit more, when there were some oddities going on, and I like that we found out that the three women (view spoiler). However, not enough is happening that I'm really intrigued by. I don't think my son is enjoying it that much either; he just wants to get through it so we can get back to Lemony Snicket.
I am finding this book a slow. There is not enough going on to keep me wondering what is going to happen and nothing to try to figure out, which is what I enjoy in a book. I usually read books with a lot of twists and things going on, so this is not a book I am really enjoying.
