The book I’m looking at is Heart of Darkness and Other Tales. Heart of Darkness has also been published separately and meets the 100+ page requirement.
The rules say:
If you choose to read an element isolated from an aggregate work, you MUST include a link to the book (isbn/asin) that you read AND provide a link to a separately published work that relates to the isolated title. The use of particular title words, cover colors, or cover images to fulfill tasks applies to the actual book that you read.
Which I thought would mean that the title used in a task would be Heart of Darkness and Other Tales.
But then the next paragraph says:
That means:
>tasks involving elements in the title/subtitle are determined by the isolated work.
I read that as meaning the title to use in a task would be Heart of Darkness.
Please could you tell me which interpretation is right? Thank you!

Could you please me understand multi book tasks?

When you read the tasks, you will see that most 25, 30, and 50 point tasks require you to read more than one book. Typically, the task will tell you to choose 2 options, read one book from each option, and specify in your task posting which options you chose. The 50 point task generally requires 3 books.
Please read the Rules of the Challenge, the Posting Requirements, and the FAQs.

Sorry that I keep asking questions. Can a book count that is marked children's even if it is on AR?

typically, children's books are allowed for 5, 10 and 15 pointers if they meet requirements in AR; for 20/25/30 only if the creator allow's

I've read all the rules. I just can't understand it.

c) Books that have an IL designation of MG+ or UG may be used with no restrictions (other than general SRC and specific task requirements). The AR BookFinder UK equivalent for UG is UY. However, you must state the IL designation when you post the book.
d) Books that have an IL designation of MG MUST ALSO have a BL of 5.0 (or higher) AND AR Pts of 7.0 (or higher). The AR BookFinder UK equivalent for MG is MY.

If you are doing a task that requires two books, you need to read both books before posting that task and mention both books in the same post.
If the task has different options, your post should say which options you used and which book went with which option.
For example, Task 25.1 says "This is a two book task. Read one book from each of two of the following options. "
Option 1 is to read a book that is either the first or the last in a series.
Option 2 is to read a book that is on one of the lists linked to in the task description.
Option 3 is to read a book by an author whose initials are in a specific phrase.
Example (my post 1502):
Task 25.1
Option 1 - On Basilisk Station. This book is the first of the Honor Harrington series
Option 3 - In Enemy Hands by David Weber. D and W are in the phrase.
I couldn't post this until I had read both books. I couldn't use the same book for two options (even though both are by the same author and therefore would work for Option 3). My post said which two options I used and which book I used for each.
Hope this helps.

Whatever is before the first colon is the title. Everything after the first colon is the subtitle.
