Bookworm with Kids This is the second waypoint of the Geographical Challenge and will last until 1st March 2018.
I have journeyed through France on the Orient Express and have now crossed into Germany. I have a change of book for the German leg of my journey - Munich by Robert Harris. My husband gave it to me for St. Valentine's Day! Isn't he so sweet!!

Peter (peterdonnelly) | 35 comments By the second waypoint I planned to have read 6 books so needed to add 2 more to the tally achieved at first waypoint.

State of Wonder - Brazil/South America
Tenderness of Wolves - Canada/North America

I could have used Jan read "Under a Pole Star" for Greenland but I fancy reading The Hummingbird's Daughter from Mexico.

SueLucie I'm ahead of schedule. I have now added Norway (Out Stealing Horses) and France (In the Café of Lost Youth by Patrick Modiano). I have a book by Jenny Erpenbeck in mind for my next country, Germany, or possibly one by Walter Kempowski.

Allan Sue, the France novel certainly seems to be packing a lot in to 150 odd pages! Looks interesting all the same...

SueLucie Haha, I confess I am attracted to short novels. It has a distinct sense of time and place, Paris in the late 50s/early 60s, atmospheric in then extreme. Odd story but it had me entranced. My first by him but it won't be my last.

Marcia | 437 comments I'm a bit late finishing the second waypoint but I'm done now and on to the next state. The book I chose was, not surprisingly, not one of the best books I've read. I definitely wouldn't recommend it as a good sample of Australian literature of good chick lit.

Bookworm with Kids I really messed this up - the second waypoint is not the 1st of March but the 1st of April! that is seven weeks from the 18th of February!
Apologies to everyone who was furiously trying to read their books in time!
