Joshua Grant The world of Drina is on the brink of destruction.
Twelve year old Kal’s dreams have grown dark. A missing Ascendant. The deaths of imperial soldiers at the hands of terrible monsters far below Skytown. It all must link back to the mysterious powers of his upcoming Ascendancy or perhaps his newfound visitor, a kid that only he can see—but none of it can prepare him for the adventure of self-discovery and world shattering consequences he’s about to be hurled down.
Nash, Ruka, and Jia are all on a top secret mission for the Heretic cause, a mission that could save their people and maybe the entire world—but one of them has a secret, a dark and tangled past that could doom them all.
Magic, humor, outrageous heists, horrific monsters, and yes, a fur bearing trout and a pickle are all along for the ride in this manic quest to keep the world of Drina from descending into darkness.

Jim | 21810 comments easily done Joshua. I think we've all done it with our first post.

I think it's because we're 'writers' not 'readers' so instructions seem to pass us by :-)

Or is it because we're males and never read instructions?

Jim | 21810 comments it is entirely possible.
Life is too short to do what people tell you

Jim | 21810 comments Transgressions is my middle name. (metaphorically :-) )

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Careful Jim.

The pit of despair still exists down in the depths of the group, you know.

Jim | 21810 comments I thought it had been sold off as a 'promising basement with development potential for housing.'

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Clever!

We'll need to replace the curtains if we're going to put it on the market.

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Sorry, Joshua.

We do enjoy being silly in author threads.

:D

Don't taunt me with talk of basements! ;-)

Joshua Grant Haha! You guys are great! But now I'm terrified! What's this dungeon we apparently have on here?

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Dungeon? Did somebody mention my dungeon? I haven't been down there in ages. Its probably falling to bits now.

Read this 11 hours ago and I'm still chuckling.

P.S. Congrats on the new book Josh!
