Benedict Cumberbatch is Alan Turing

I do think he could pull him off physically, check out Turing pics: https://www.google.com/search?q=alan+...

Brilliant alternative namings. :) I think my favorite was "Cucumberpatch" simply due to the potential phallic implications which seem to arise (as it were) whenever invoked by Bonnie.

Personally, I don't think they look very alike. Turing was round faced, and all taxi-cab ears, while Crumpledtrash looks like Richard Burton--preserved under a tight wrapping of Cellophane and heated in the microwave too long....
But it probably won't really matter. There ought to be a statue of Turing in front of the parliament building and every major computer company HQ... but there's not, so most folks don't really know what he looked like. I'm sure his physical appearance won't really be an issue for most people. Turing didn't have a particularly distinctive face. Sometimes when someone plays Churchill or Nixon or (save us from bad acting) Hitler, the audience can be forgiven for finding a slapstick quality out of the situation. Turing, though? It'll be fine.
Clumporcrash's pasty faced, beady-eyed, twelve-year-old-in-a-six-foot-body generally British appearance and native acting talent will be sufficient--unless the effects of puberty that somehow localized in his vocal chords suddenly kicked in sometime in the middle of filming... in which case there'd be a whole, weird Transformers/Hulk thing happening.

Glad you liked 'em. For your amusement:

Mr. Bonnie Burton
It seems to me Bonnie mentioned this boy once. Turing, that is, not Cucumberpatch, who gets mentioned... ::cough, cough:: occasionally. In a nice confluence of random comments, Bumbercatch is starring as the guy who, arguably after Churchill, did the most to save Britain during what would otherwise be known as Weld Krieg Zwei (or something to that effect.) I don't know how casting to type Crumblescratch is for the guy who invented computers physically, but he can definitely pull off the smarter-than-you smarty-smart guy, so it seems like a good idea to me.
