Maia Wallace | 2 comments Hi there! It’s a pleasure to meet you all.
I’d like to ask for suggestions for new books that would be great for someone who loved

Immortal series.
His dark materials
Inkheart
Depford mice series
Eragon
Post-apocalyptic books

While of course there aren’t identical books, if anyone has any suggestions I’d be grateful for new reads!

Thanks!

Maia Wallace | 2 comments Oh! I have that on audiobook! I’ll be sure to listen as soon as I’m done with the new Tamora Pierce book.

NekroRider | 495 comments Depending on whether or not you want your post-apocalyptic books to also be sci-fi or fantasy I'd suggest:

Oryx and Crake (and the whole MaddAddam trilogy) - dystopian, post-apocalypse sci-fi
Station Eleven - neither sci-fi nor fantasy, but just really awesome near future post-apocalyptic fiction
Lilith's Brood (compilation of Octavia Butler's Xenogenesis trilogy) - post-apocalyptic, dystopian sci-fi with some of the coolest aliens you'll ever encounter

VictorWizard6000 I recommend the book
The lost hero by Rick Riordan

The Amulet of Samarkand and The Screaming Staircase from Jonathan Stroud
and The Last Dragonslayer by Jasper Fforde

Lynne Stringer | 115 comments Have you tried any of Juliet Marillier's books? I really enjoyed her Shadowfell trilogy. Shadowfell (Shadowfell, #1) by Juliet Marillier

message 8: by Arthur (new)

Arthur Weissmann I read “Verge of Darkness,” by Ollie Odebunmi. It is about four heroes from different backgrounds getting together to fight demon soul eaters.
