Bianca (biancabirdy) | 16 comments Hello!

I've recently become a GR librarian and I have a question. I’ve read in the manual that you should “use a format from the dropdown menu whenever possible”, but also that “all data must be entered in the same language as the edition in question”, so my question is: does that last statement apply to the format?

I’ve added a lot of new editions in my language, and always choose between ‘hardcover’ or ‘paperback’, but I’ve seen one book with ‘tapa blanda’ as format (paperback in Spanish).

I suppose that the correct way is the format in English, otherwise it’s very difficult to try to find a specific edition.

Thanks!

Using a format from the dropdown is preferable, regardless of the language the book is published in.
