Hi, Cortez,
I wonder how many members want the monthly contests. Not that many people voted each month.

Well, Kelly, that's something to think about. I followed the format for voting that was already in place. What made it seem difficult?
If an author wants feedback on a video, he/she can start a topic and ask for feedback.

I'm not sure why you would sense anything negative in my response, if that's what you mean by "bite." My question was genuine as to what seemed difficult, in case it was something that might be approached differently if the contest were resumed.
As far as starting a topic to get feedback, the Trailer Contest was never about feedback. It was just a matter of members voting for the trailer they liked best.
I create trailers and I think the time for feedback is before a trailer is finalized so the author has a chance to make any warranted or desired changes. Granted, people can say what they like or dislike about a finished trailer, but I would let the author seek out that kind of feedback on his/her own because some people don't want to hear negative feedback about a finished product.
