This thread is for suggestions and questions for the various categories. The participants thread is located HERE.
1. 'A' is for August: Read a book that starts with 'A' or a book whose author's first or last name starts with 'A'
2. Member of the Month - Katharina: Katharina has been a member of the RRRC since December 2010. Here is the link to Katharina's shelves. Please read a book from any of Katharina's shelves, a book published in 2010 or a book published in December of any year.
3. Geography - Sweden: Read a book whose author, character or setting is from Sweden.
So you may also read a book with a blue or gold cover or one that features a blond and/or blue eyed person on the cover. Also you may read a Viking book or one involving a monarchy. You may also choose a book with a very wealthy character or one involved in the medical profession.
4. Family Fun Month: Read a book that involves family dynamics of some kind - children, parents, siblings etc.
5. Friendship Day (August 3): Read a book that features friendship or one recommended by a friend.
6. Left Handers' Day (August 13): Read a book about someone in the minority in some way or the odd man out - left handed, red headed, teacher in a family of business professionals, or newcomer in a small town for example.
7. Relaxation Day (August 15): Read a book where someone takes a vacation or a book you would read on a vacation.
8. National Thriftshop Day (August 17): Read a book that didn't cost you anything, either one you borrowed from the library or friend or was a freebie!
9. Romance Awareness Month: A month made just for us! Read a romance book of any genre.
10. Reader's Choice: Read any book of your choosing!
You can choose 3, 5, 8 or all 10 categories depending on your reading speed, book availability and/or time commitment.
When posting your challenge progress, please make sure to put the date/s when you finished your book/s.
