Parker The Graveyard Book
By: Neil Gaiman

This book is about a child named Nobody Owens who grows up in graveyard, but before that happened his parents and sister were killed by the Man Jack. it tells about the different adventures he goes on while living in it.

The setting of the book takes place in graveyard in the United Kingdom. There are different times when Bod leaves the graveyard and goes to a couple of different shops near the graveyard. The is also one chapter where the setting takes place in the the courtyard of a building. The social environment has a decent amount of people throughout the book which can in a sense bring the book to life.

To see things through Bod who grows up throughout the book has a more of a relatable feeling to it. Because as I was reading it there were a couple of times when i could relate to the main character to what was happening.and what I think the author was trying to do in my opinion was to just show how different one's life could be to another person's life somewhere else and the different troubles for most of the book.

In my opinion this was a really good book and really well written. I really like the fact that since the view of the book was through a child’s eyes there were different times in the book were I was able to relate to the character, and at some times these spots would really hit home for me.like one part in the book were a really big dance called the dance of the macabre and bod wanted to tell everyone about it but all of the the ghosts in the graveyard were telling not to talk about it and that the same case with me sometimes. So I just thought that this was a really good book.
