Post any background information regarding the author or the book The Three Musketeers,

Leslie | 49 comments I found this. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_T...

I watched the classic movie as a child. I guess there's a more modern one now. Will have to look for it.

As a high schooler this background didn't quite mean as much to me. I wasn't as familiar with France's history or that of the Catholic church.

Leslie | 49 comments You made me laugh. :-) I also found a 1948 version and the one I remember isn't any of these.

Leslie | 49 comments The one I grew up with is this one which aires as a Ted Turner Classic.

http://www.tcm.com/this-month/article.... so this doesn't really say it's the Three Muskateers but if this isn't the exact one, it's close because our class watched Cyrano.

1951, black and white, Cyrano de Bergac. https://watchdownload.com/watch-movie...

In French with subtitles as I recall. My French class read this.

Here's a little on the 1948 classic. http://www.tcm.com/this-month/article...

Marta (gezemice) | 214 comments I loved this as a kid. Read it a bunch of times. Unfortunately on of the two volumes of my 1922 edition is lost... I am so sad.
