ABANDONED. a kids mystery book that involves a kid who mysteriously escaped the alamo

I read this book in the late 80's. I was about 10-12. It was about a kid who turned up and they later found out she/he had escaped from the Alamo. To me it was such an exciting thriller when I read it.
