Don watched her as she didn't have a scar on her. He wondered how she was so stupid to get close to a bear yet so luckly to make it back into one piece.
"Come on, i know your gonna have to head back home before your crazy dad freaks out." He said mocking her dad. Cali's dad wasn't crazy, but he sometimes had his moments which made a few immature assholes like don to give a cheap jab at Cali.

message 52: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) “Enough. Enough with the mocking him. And the acting so protective over me when you’re just as afraid as everyone.” Cali answered as she made her way through the village and back to her house. She ran a hand through her hair. She yawned softly.

message 53: by [deleted user] (new)

The nights finally passed as everyone was talking about the bear attack but Cali was the only one who saw the wolf. As the morining rose up everyone started to work as people checked around the village to make sure that no weird thing was going on as Don cleaned up with the Barn animals.
A boy named Wright came early and handed a small bottle of milk to everyone as he knocked on Cali's door, waiting for someone to open.

message 54: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Cali snuck back into her room and wrote some stuff down in a journal she kept before going to sleep. She slept the rest of the night and in late the next morning. She eventually woke up and got dressed before heading downstairs. She wanted to try and figure out what was in the woods and see what she could learn. She went and answered the door for her parents.

message 55: by [deleted user] (new)

Wright smiled as he saw Cali open the door. Wright was only about 8 year old but already seem to have a crush on Cali as he gave her the milk.
"Moring Cali. Here is your milk." He said as he handed her the milk while smiling and heading off to the next house to do the delivery. Don saw cali come out as he paushed his work while running towards her.
"Hey Cali, where are you heading off?"

message 56: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Cali thanked wright kindly. She set the milk inside before grabbing her cloak from a hook by the door and coming outside. She glanced at don and shrugged. “To talk to some people, maybe go back in the woods. It was weird out there.” She explained with a shrug, glancing at him.

message 57: by [deleted user] (new)

Don shook his head as he watched Cali leave. He didn't know if she was brave or just plain stupid.

Meanwhile back in the woods, near Magnus's cabin, he got his ax to cut some lumber for fire wood as he was running low. He had his shirt off while lifting the ax and throwing it down to cut it bit by bit to make the cuts.

message 58: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Cali smiled and waved at him. She went around town and asked a few people who she thought might know something but everyone pretty much brushed her off. So instead, she chose to go back to the woods. She had a couple more daggers with her, just in case. She couldn’t take her fathers gun without him noticing but she was good with knives so hopefully that would be enough. Cali walked cautiously, keeping a close watch around her. She headed back towards where magnus’ cabin was, figuring maybe he’d be willing to talk to her and teach her some more about what was in the woods.

message 59: by [deleted user] (new)

As magnus was cutting fire wood and sweat dropped from his forehead to his chest, his nose pkcked up on a scent. The same one he smelled yesterday. He could tell it was Cali and she wasn't too far away as she was getting closer.
"Your back already!" He shouted as he could see her from a distance as he dropped the ax down while getting a towel to clean his sweat as he walked towards.
"At least your here during day light. Good to see ya again Cali."

message 60: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Cali glanced in the direction of the sound. She smiled faintly and came up to him. “Nice to see you again too.” She replied with a shrug. “I figured daytime would be better, you know, being eaten by a bear isn’t quite how I wanna go..” she commented, a bit more at ease than she was yesterday.

message 61: by [deleted user] (new)

Magnus smiled as he walked Cali and her bright red cloak which seemed to match with her hair.
"Yeah i guess. So how can i help you today? I don't usually get visitors you know." He said as he watched her every movement as he still had scars but those scars seemed to heal away fairly quick.

message 62: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) “I figured as much.” Cali shrugged, glancing him over. “You sure healed up quick. Why’s that?” She asked curiously. “And I don’t know. You said I shouldn’t be so naive about the woods, so I thought I’d see if maybe you’d be willing to teach me more that I don’t know.” Cali admitted, shrugging at him.

message 63: by [deleted user] (new)

Magnus was all smiles until she started to mention about his healing as suddenly he got fairly serious.
"A good night sleep." He said as she kept on asking about this forrest. What was in it and why the people were so afraid of going out here during night time. Well everyone besides him. Magnus could at least defend himself from a lot of other things that crawled during the night.
"I don't think you know what your getting yourself into Cali." He said as he turned around while going back to pick up his ax as he chopped fire woods again.
"Just go back to your village. You should be safe there."

message 64: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Cali sighed softly, looking st him. “Yeah. Okay..” she said, not believing him. She shifted on her feet. “No. I don’t want to just go back to my village. It’s not gonna be safe there forever and I’d rather know what we’re gonna be up against at least..” she replied. “But Alright. I just figured you’d be a good person to learn from. I’ll learn for myself. Sorry for distracting you from your wood cutting.” She told him before turning to walk away.

message 65: by [deleted user] (new)

Magnus taught about what she said for a bit as he watched her turn around. He ran towards her as it wasn't fair that they lived in fear everyday. He grabbed her by the hand as he turned her around.
"Cali, fine okay....let me show you what i know." He said as he looked into the cabin while looking back at her.
"Come inside, i can show you there." He said as the two walked in as he invited her into his home. He was gonna telk her a little but he wasn't about to let her know about him being a werewolf.

message 66: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Cali nodded. “Okay. Thank you.” She replied. She pulled her hand from his and followed him to the cabin. She came inside, glancing around before back at him. “I apologize for coming across as rude. I’m just annoyed. I went and asked like 10 people around town but they wouldn’t tell me anything and it’s just frustrating..” she explained quietly.

message 67: by [deleted user] (new)

Magnus shook his head as he looked through some of the old books while sitting down as he showed his book to her.
"This is the records of all the folk lores and native legends around these wood areas." He said as he started to open his pages.
"About 30 years ago, children started to go missing from village to village as people say they saw an old hag drag them from their rooms. Another story is of giant hairy momsters walking on two legs." He said as he kept on turning the pages.
"But what people fear the most is this" he said as he showed a picture of a dark wolf.
"They are afriad of the giant wolves that roam around the forrest. It was said that they could transform into humans and attack people."

message 68: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Cali sat down with him. She looked at the book, it clearly interesting her. She listened closely to him as he spoke, telling of some of the lore and myths that were common around there.
She shrugged slightly at the wolf. “Not all of those wolves are dangerous as they think. Or I’m not a good target.” She commented. “It could’ve easily attacked or killed me last night. My back was to it. It jumped in and attacked the bear instead. I would’ve been dead without it..” she said softly.

message 69: by [deleted user] (new)

He told her the stories as Cali seemed interested in the stories as she said about her being rescued fromna wolf as that placed a smile on his face.
"I wish i could tell you all wolves are like that. But chances are, they will attack you if they get the cahnce." He said as he didn't like saying this but he wanted her to know. It was the reason why he left his pack in the first place.
"Is there anything else you would like to know?" Magnus asked while Cali seemed to scroll away at the folk lore book.

message 70: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Cali listened intently to all of the stories and lore that he told her about. She nodded slightly. “I figured as much. Just grateful they didn’t choose to attack me last night. Still kinda weird though.” She admitted with a shrug st him. “And ummm. I don’t know. Could I just look st these stories and stuff for a bit longer?” She asked, hoping that would be acceptable. Cali knew a lot of the stories probably weren’t true but they likely had some truth as a base to them.

message 71: by [deleted user] (new)

He looked as she wanted to read more about the folk lore books that he had.
"Feel free to look around." He said as he let her read the books that he had as much as she wanted. He went over to the kitchen area to grab some food while letting Cali do the reading.
"You seem pretty interested in these stories. Most people see them as old fairy tale stories."

(Im gonna head to sleep now. I will post tommorow. Goodnight)

message 72: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Cali thanked him. She glanced around at some of the other books but focused on the one he’d gotten out initially. She read through some of the stories, focusing on the ones involving wolves or the woods.

“Well, they are fairy tale stories. But the ideas for such stories must’ve come from somewhere and are thus most likely having some sort of base in truth.” She explained. “It’s just a matter of kinda deciphering which is which.”

((Goodnight)

message 73: by [deleted user] (new)

Magnus while as he let Cali sit down and enjoy the books as if it was a libary. He went over and made some sweet tea while pouring in a small cup and setting it down by her.
"Here, have ut while its warm." He said as he told her while looking outside.
"Feel free to make yourself comfortable, I have to chop a little more wood outside." He said as he went outside while chopping with the ax again. Why was this girl even in his home? Most people wouldn't want anything to do with him. He did enjoy another company but wasnt a monster

message 74: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Cali glanced up at him and smiled. She thanked him kindly before her attention was immediately drawn back to the book full of stories. She nodded slightly when he said he was heading out to chop more wood but she didn’t look up, engrossed in reading the stories in their complete form.

message 75: by [deleted user] (new)

As Magnus was cutting some woods, he smelled another scent. A scent of a human bit wasn't cali. He quickly rushed back inside of the house as he came in seeimg Cali.
"Hey Cali, when you came over here, did you bring anyone else?" Magnus aaked as he looked outside for a second with the ax in his hand

message 76: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Cali was still reading. Onto a different book now. The first one sat closed on the table with her untouched cup of tea. She glanced at magnus when he came back and shook her head. “No. I didn’t bring anyone with me.. I told someone that I was gonna go explore a bit but that was it. I didn’t tel then that I’d come this far out in the woods..” she explained softly.

message 77: by [deleted user] (new)

Magnus nodded as he watched the forrest while looking at Cali.
"There is someome outside." He said as he grabbed the ax while going out looking through the woods.
From the distamce he could see a guy approching the house as Don was walking up with a rifle in his hand.
Magnus looked bacj at Cali as he asked her.
"Is that one of your friends or something?"

message 78: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Cali set the book down and got up. She peered outside through the window and sighed. “Not much of s friend but yes. I know them. I told them I was going to the woods. I really do not want to see them though...” she said softly, glancing at magnus. “Feel free to threaten him to scare him off. Just don’t kill him?” She told him quietly.

message 79: by [deleted user] (new)

She told magnus that this was just some punk kid looking for trouble.
"Awesome. Stay inside." He said as he went outside while looking at Don.
"What do you want?" He asked as Don held the rifle tight in his arms.
"I'm looking for a friend, wearing a red cloak and red hair name Cali."
Magnus watched him as he had the ax on his shoulder.
"Never heard or seen it my friend." He spoke don shook his head.
"I'm pretty sure i saw her coming towards this direction."

message 80: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Cali nodded slightly. She moved out of sight from the windows but stayed close by, listening to their conversation for a moment and hoping don would just listen and go away. She just wanted to stay out there and read, not cause any trouble or anything.

message 81: by [deleted user] (new)

Don looked at the house while looking around.
"Is she in that house?" Don asked while Magnus looked at him.
"Listen kid, just go home." He said as he told him off. He was now getting on her nerves.
"Well i ain't leaving here without Cali and i know she is in there." He said as he pointed the rifle at Magnus.
As soon as he did that Magnus smiled and laughed.
"What are you gonna do, shoot me?" He asked in a taunting way.

message 82: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Cali listened to the exchange quietly, biting her lip. She heard the way they both seemed to get more agitated but didn’t intervene. She didn’t want don to drag her back home yet.

message 83: by [deleted user] (new)

Don watched Magnus as he slowly pulled down his rifle while taking a steo back or two as he made his way back to the woods.
"I'm gonna be back." He said as he walked off.

"Please don't come back." Magnus replied as he watched Don walk off while moving back towards his cabin where Cali was as he shook his head.
"You sure got some asshole friends." Magnus replied while putting the ax down.

message 84: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Cali nodded. “Agreed. They are terrible friends and I hate them but they just will not go away. If sucks. Don’t get friends..” she advised, moving and sitting back at the table. She ran a hand through her hair, moving it out of her face. “I’ll leave soon so he won’t come disturb you again...”

message 85: by [deleted user] (new)

He shook his head as he smiled softly.
"Nah its all good. But do stick around. I do enjoy your company." He said as he walked over to her while she seemee to be digging all over the werewolf section.
"You really seemed to be in for the wolves. Just a lot of curiosity or what?" He asked while fixing his hair a bit. Was this because he helped her from that bear attack as the wolf form?

message 86: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Cali shrugged. “I suppose so yes. It’s the most intriguing stories I’ve found so far. You said there are giant wolves in the forest so these stories probably have the most useful information..” she explained, looking over at him.

message 87: by [deleted user] (new)

He sat down while looking at some of the dagger she hid under the boots while drank a bottle of water while leaning to the side of the chair he was sitting on.
"Let me ask you, what do you plan to do once you find the giant wolf. Hunt them, study them, kill them so you can bring back the corpse to the village?" He asked as his neck was on the line here. It would be hard in general if she decided to start hunting other wolves or maybe even magnus himself.

message 88: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Cali shifted slightly, reaching and subtly tucking the knife further into her boot. She shrugged at him. “No.. I won’t hunt them. Or kill them.” She assured softly. “I would love to learn more about them though, honestly..” she looked overbat him.

message 89: by [deleted user] (new)

He smiled while taking her hand as he dragged her outside. He smiled as he really didn't give her a choice but she was gonna like this for sure.
"Hey....trust me on this, i'm sure you will thank me for that." He said as he looked at the woods as he started to whistle. As he whistled for a bit, couple of young wolves that weren't fully grown came out of the woods and joyfully ran towards Cali and Magnus as he smiled.
"I told you." Magnus replied as he kneed down to show her the two wolves.

message 90: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Cali hesitated slightly but she followed him curiously. “Alright..” she said, watching cautiously around them as she waited. Cali smiled a bit as she saw the young wolves come from the woods. She glanced curiously back at magnus, tilting her head. “How?” She questioned softly, wondering why they came at his call. Cali knelt Besides magnus, her dark red cloak pooling around her. She held a hand out to the wolves cautiously.

message 91: by [deleted user] (new)

Magnus gave the young wolves a nod, as if he was telling them that she was safe to be around.
"I guess i just have a charm for animals." He replied as they licked her hands.
"They seem to live within the area so i always stop by when i return from hunting and give them a meal or two." He said as he told Cali while she seemed to pet them.

message 92: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Cali smiled softly. She let the wolves sniff and lick st her hand, gently touching their fur. “I guess so. That’s nice of you though, to feed them and stuff..” she commented softly. She sat on the ground, trusting magnus and the wolves not to hurt her. She studied the wolves curiously.

message 93: by [deleted user] (new)

Magnus smiled as he stood up while looking at Cali. Was it the best idea to have a human near by him? This could have been both dangerous for him as well as Cali. Other wolf pack and creatures could easliy try to attack her or if the village people found out about Magnus's true form, he himself could be in serious trouble. People were known for not being the most friendly towards were wolf as his stomach started to grumble a little.
He stared at Cali while not sure what to do.
"Hey listen, your welcome to stay in my cabin for a bit, i just have to go find myself a meal."

message 94: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Cali looked around occasionally, still a bit cautious but she trusted him to keep her safe enough. “Oh. Alright..” she glanced up at the sky to figure out about how much time she had before she needed to head home. Cali stood, shaking a bit of the wolf’s shedded fur off her hands. “I should probably be getting home soon anyways so I’m not out in the woods in the dark..” she said softly. “May I come and visit you again and learn more about what’s out here?” She asked him softly.

message 95: by [deleted user] (new)

Magnus nodded as Cali mentioned of her head home. He smiled as he looked at her while it was a good idea at this point.
"Sure, its good having company over like you." He spoke while waving goodbye as he watched her entering back into the forrest. He needed to eat as the day before he ended up fighting a bear. He started to transform into the giant wolf again as he made a giant howl which could have been heard from the distances

message 96: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) “Thank you.” Cali smiled softly at him. She waved and headed back to the forest and made her way back to the village carefully, taking a long way through the forest since she had plenty of time still. Cali let her mind wander, wondering about the wolves and how Magnus seemed to communicate with them and also wondering if she could do the same thing eventually.

message 97: by [deleted user] (new)

Magnus smelled around in his wolf form as smelled Cali from a distance not too far away. She was walking in the right direction. But just incase, he wanted to make sure she got some safely. So he followed her trail as he saw her as he walked on four legs behind her as he hoped that she didn't notcie him as he might have freaked her out

message 98: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Cali hummed faintly to herself as she walked. She heard the occasional crackles and footsteps of creatures around her but none of them seemed to be too close to scare her. She got back to the outskirts of the Forest surrounding the village and sighed softly, knowing she’d need to be more careful tomorrow and in the future so Don wouldn’t come after her. She walked back to her house, yawning softly.

message 99: by [deleted user] (new)

Magnus watchee Cali enter her village as he felt a little more relieved as he howled in the distance as his wolf pack came together as it was time to hunt for a meal. They looked around for a deer or an elk as it fed the whole pack of the wolves. He wondered why Cali was so interested in him and his kinds but he was pretty excited to see her again the next day.

message 100: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Cali smiled softly when she heard the wolves howl. She headed into her house, checking the time again. She didn’t leave at all after that, eating dinner with her family and helping her mom with some household chores before going up to her room. She wrote some of what she’d learned down in her journal after changing into the clothes she slept in. She wrote for a while before laying down and trying to sleep.
