Beth wrote: "And just found The Ice Storm has snow on the cover, so I could do that"That will be excellent!, nobody has yet indicated a book in that task
Updated the planning spreadsheet to here. We look like we have options for every task now, but now need to start locking them in. Then we can see how we go for card two!
Hopefully Jmom checks in in the next little while too.
So I guess if there is something you *REALLY* want to read, let us know and choose the task it will fit and we can go from there. Some one be rude and go first lol! So much easier once we get started.
I REALLY want to read A Darker Shade of Magic and Tower Lord. I have them as BRs scheduled with another group during that time so these 2 are a must for me. For the rest I don't mind changing.
I definitely want to do Winter. It's on audio, and I can do the police procedural/V one on my Kindle if that works for the group. I will get to another one on audio, but we should see what card we are on before I figure out what that will be.
I don't mind Beth. You can take that task if you want to. As I said, I don't mind switching except for those 2 which I have to read anyway.
Didn't you hear Rusalka Beth? You have to say what you want. :D You want to read that one just say so and I'll look for some other category. 😊
I would really like to do the vampires, werewolves or ghosts task if possible. The book I have picked out for that is one of my most anticipated of the year. I'm also happy to do the male author task.
Updated the planning spreadsheet with PURPLE locking it in. My Prof book is long though, so happy to swap but as the only one so far, I'll commit! If you are visual --https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/...
If you like lists --

Snow on cover
Thinking about this, I'll take Horror too with Alice as that gets a row done.Oh, and my prof book is Wonder Boys
I've got an author starts with F. The Nature Fix: Why Nature Makes us Happier, Healthier, and More Creative. I think this is my wife's book but it's one of the shorter ones in my library right now
What would you like to read, Mr Reading Slump? Are those going to help, or are there reads you really want to read that may propel you out of the slump?
These are just the choices I have at hand. Trying to get through books I've purchased before purchasing more so I only have about 8 books short enough for a toppler. Will any get me out of a reading slump? I have no clue but they need to be read
Well, would you like to take the Movie task, and the war task? I can lock those in then for your 2 reads, and we can go from there?
Rusalka wrote: "Well, would you like to take the Movie task, and the war task? I can lock those in then for your 2 reads, and we can go from there?"Yes let's do that for now
I plan to start with
, which fits either animal on the cover or romance. There seem to be more people interested in animal on the cover, but just me and Mariab for romance.
Haha. Thank you so much, Rusalka. i couldn't check in as I was busy preparing my presentation and packing up. Now checking in while on my way to the airport. And you're right. I did pack in those two books. Hoping to finish them by 14th during my trip, and then try for one more. :)

I just bought a daily deal with an author that starts with F, so that is an option for me for the next book, too.
Like I already said, I would like to read Vampire Academy, either for Title starts with V or Romance (it fits also book made into a movie)
Is there someone who wants to be the co-keeper of the spreadsheet on the other side of the world from me?Particularly as we are down 2 people at work this week, and I have to go to Melbourne on Fri and Sat for a funeral.
I'm willing but clueless about spreadsheets. Do I just type things in boxes, and do I need some sort of access?
I'm pretty good at reading spreadsheets but making them is Braille for me.I think Rusalka has it so you just have to type it in. I think she has some sort of locks on things so no one can completely screw it up. What I don't understand is how all this different colors works. It's a most helpful tool though
I have been a little silly with the colours, so I will simplify that. Been slowly going loopy this week. Purple is committed to reading on the planning sheet.
Otherwise, on the cards, all we need to do is type in the name of the person who completed the task, the book they read, and change unread to read.
If you PM me your email address Casceil and/or Travis, I can add you as an editor. I have to do that as I locked down all the other cells.

I read this in a hurry and missed the "at work" part... pfui!
I thought OUR GROUP missed 2 people already!
(not meaning to be insensible about your predicament, Russalka!)
Mariab wrote: "I read this in a hurry and missed the "at work" part... pfui! I thought OUR GROUP missed 2 people already!

Lol not taking it like that at all, Mariab. I think you have your priorities completely in order.
Okay teamies, other teams are starting to allocate card two. We need the following locked in on card one:Animal on cover
Coming of age
Epistolary
MC had a job you'd like
Police proceedural
1800s
free book
glasses on cover
proper name in title
author begins with "F"
snow on cover
Lisa and Laura, Rusalka has authorized me to edit the planning sheet during her offline hours, but I haven't figured out yet how to turn a block purple. Let's just agree that Lisa has "animal on the cover" and Laura has "MC has a job you'd like." I'm less sure what to do with
, since it doesn't seem to fit anything except free space on Card I, although it may fit better on Card 2.
Casceil wrote: "Lisa and Laura, Rusalka has authorized me to edit the planning sheet during her offline hours, but I haven't figured out yet how to turn a block purple. Let's just agree that Lisa has "animal on th..."That's fine, Casceil.
Maybe we could use Dragons of Spring Dawning for 'Free Space' for now, but with the possibility of carrying it over and using it for Card 2 if needed. The free space slot should be pretty easy to fill so we have room to change things around.
Thank you for trying to fit my missmatching book in somewhere. Next to my already locked 4 books I can do another 3 shorter ones. For those just let me know later which categories you'd like me to fill in.
