So I finished this part in one sitting. I am very curious how things are going to play out. I'm curious about this heist and what it will entail. Also as soon as I figured out her power I was already hoping there was a way she could go back and save Leena. I was so sad. Seriously this book starts off sad and rough....suicide into the river, death in front of the man you love on top of two other crew we didn't meet dying, a failed mission and injuries, that resulted in a huge mishap and erased a person and made things worse. Oh yeah and as she goes through her bodyguard/healer is shot....seriously this is an intense way to start out.

I'm curious to the past between them. Clearly he helps and he betrays them but I'm curious to see what happens. I'm also having these weird vibes between her professor and the boss man....the leg/cane just seems very similar.

Such a good start I've super intrigued by the whole thing. I hope she ends up where she is supposed to in the end.

This was one intense start! I can't believe I actually teared up over a character I haven't actually met; I think this speaks volumes to the writer's ability to get me invested in the story. While I feel like part 1 was more of an introduction to the characters, it didn't feel like an information dump that sometimes happens. I felt that it perfectly set up the mission that Esta is about to embark on.

I, like Eve, feel like something might be off about Professor Lachlan. I am not sure I trust him, but I hope I am wrong. I can't wait to see what happens next.

I know right?!? Just something is up with him. Any yeah I was so sad and I wish I had gotten to know her more :(
